I did! The lozenges are great, esp. considering they’re 1 mg and extended release — but, like I said I’m still wary of the risk of caries from the malitol/aspartame so I probably won’t use them long term. Risk is realistically pretty low though; the formulation I got doesn’t contain maltodextrin, which S mutans can metabolize and would represent a real risk for oral health. It’s a nice way to mix things up and the box I have should last for a while. The 2mg gum seemed comparable to Nicorette, and the import taxes to France smoked me so I’ll probably just stick with Nicorette for gum ultimately.

I’ve psyched myself up for this. Right now, it’s day 2 of my latest quit smoking attempt. I’m wearing the patches on my ankle this time. With the hot and sticky weather the patches keep falling off! Hopefully they’ll be alright under my sock. I’ve got used to the @nicorette QuickMist, so I’m going to stick with that. It’s mind over matter. I’m disabled with medical evidence and being a trucker electrician is no longer suitable for me. I’ve found that sitting in my office chair for long periods of time hurts. I’ve been diagnosed with osteoarthritis, chronic kidney disease, depression with anxiety, delusional disorder psychosis and double vision. I need to take it easy and fit lots of rest into my schedule. My disability won’t stop me doing my media work but it will slow me down. The fitness required to be a professional trucker or a professional electrician I no longer have. Both trades I have retired from and I will only be working as an electrician or driving a truck for personal use. Not professional use. With professionalism in transport and the electrical contracting industry comes big responsibility and discipline which you need to be very physically fit for. I’m not extremely fit anymore. I’m worn out and that’s it. It’s over. There is no cure. Those jobs are a no go. Operating heavy machinery and climbing ladders all day is definitely a no go. I have an appointment with the heath and wellbeing coach today. I’m going to discuss a suitable fitness plan, and a return to my studio. I suffered with what felt like a fractured neck for 18 months after working hard on my written assignments during Level 4. I need to get back to basics and simple office health and safety. Working with a DAW and doing these written assignments can be classed as office work. I have office work experience from when I worked for Lex Rover when I trained in business admin. That training has put me in good stead with regard to my Massive House Records office work. Being so hurt after sitting at my desk was a bad experience for me. I haven’t sat at my desk since which will hurt everyone. My neck has recovered. It’s a mental thing now. When I reform a studio and office habit again I will make sure I don’t overdo it and get lots of rest.

successful* I decided to try chewing @nicorette instead of smoking and it’s been useful so far. I do have moments when I want to actually *smoke* and not just to get the nicotine, but I hope to slowly get over it. The fact that chewing is an easier action while coding helps
