“It all starts with loving one person.” A beautiful reminder that humanitarianism begins with empathy – with choosing to stand by someone in their moment of need. Thank you @haluklevent for your generous donation to our #Gaza fund and for lending your God-gifted voice for good.

Yousef Zawahra was assaulted by Israeli settlers last month. His home was set on fire after settlers broke in, beat him and his wife with clubs and pepper spray, and dragged them outside as the house burned. Everyone should be safe in their home. ochaopt.org/content/humani…

The reopening of Gaza's Rafah crossing is an important milestone – for returnees, for medical evacuations, for lives. This is a start, but it’s not enough. More humanitarian supplies must enter in sufficient amounts and with fewer restrictions through Rafah and other crossings.

Of the hundreds of #Palestinians displaced in the #WestBank last month, >150 lost their homes in demolitions related to the lack of building permits, which are nearly impossible to obtain. Last year, >1,700 were displaced for lacking permits – the highest annual total on record.

#Gaza: Shooting continues. In-person learning is unavailable for most pupils. Since Oct, tens of thousands of tents have been delivered, but tents aren't a durable solution. Meanwhile, more children have died from hypothermia. Read this week's update here: ochaopt.org/content/humani…
