Yorubas! Repost this when you see it to debunk this narrative they’re spreading. You must have seen the Igbos excessively spreading these narratives about the Yorubas. The thing is IBB never said this at all. Have looked for the video of what he said and it’s on slide 4. The Quote from IBB was about General Diya and General Adisa. The quote was not about the Yoruba Race. In reality, this is what he said 👇 If I hear that Diya is planning a coup, I will go to sleep and if I hear Adisa is planning a coup I will go to slumber. The Igbos changed this Quote and put “ Yoruba” and cowards in it. And they have Been spreading this “ when we talk about false narratives “This is what I mean... Repost this to Educate someone … 🫱🏿‍🫲🏾

Yoruba people are not seeing the agenda against them in Nigeria. They hold Yoruba by the jugular for everything, minor or major, but bury, hide, or ignore atrocities from other regions. You don’t have to be tribalistic or support evil to defend Yoruba heritage. Ja ara e.

1. Ichafu is widely used in Igbo for headscarf/headtie but is a loanword from French "chiffon" (rag/fabric) or "couvre-chef" (head covering), per Igbo etymology sources and dictionaries—not 100% indigenous. 2. Gele in Yoruba means the traditional women's headwrap (elaborate tied fabric), confirmed across Wikipedia, cultural sites, and Yoruba references—not pocket handkerchief. 3. Old Igbo records (e.g., ~1900 dictionaries) translate "chiffon" as nkilika-akwa (rags/pieces of cloth); ichafu evolved as the adopted term for the item via borrowing. Cultural terms often cross languages in Nigeria.

In 1987, Janet Adegoke made history as the first Black African woman to serve as a mayor in London. As mayor in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, she built a reputation for empathy and community work, supporting causes ranging from sickle cell advocacy to mental health and welfare for the elderly. She was also a founding member of the Africa Link, an initiative created to support Africans in Britain facing loneliness, depression, and social isolation. Colleagues described her as warm but firm, a leader who commanded respect and used her office to bring people together across communities. Less than five months into her tenure, Adegoke died at 47 after a period of illness, cutting short a public service career many believed still had far to go. Her death drew a large, emotional response, with tributes pouring in from across the communities she served.

@wlcback14 We have no evidence of this. This type of game has been observed across cultures in West Africa and beyond. It's been dated as far back as the BCEs in Ancient Egypt, East Africa, and Jordan. See: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mancala?w…

@dilak91604852 @adamugarba How do they treat darker colored in Iran, a country Nigirians seem to support a lot during this time? This is how we treat all citizens in saudi. Equally. Our Makkah Imam is darker coloured. What’s your point?

Borrow a culture, then call it yours. Rent a house then attempt to take it over. Run to Lagos then start claiming indigeneship right. Ran to Herbert Macaulay's NCNC, then Ibonise it. Begged Labour Party for platform, then turn it to Ibo affairs It's a culture of brazen robbery. Not surprised a bit.
