Pulque God This is a bonus for the Centzon Totochtin drawing from last week. Pulque gods appear in a number of codices. While I chose Codex Magliabecchiano and Tudela for the previous drawing, this one is based on Codex Borbonicus.

Rage of Moquihuixtli This drawing is based on Diego Duran’s account about Mexica civil war of 1473. This war was fought between the two city-states of Tenochtitlan and Tlatelolco. The rulers (tlatoani) were Axayacatl of Tenochtitlan, and Moquihuix of Tlatelolco.
