I've been looking for this letter from my primary head teacher to my mother regarding my superiority complex and his determination to destroy it. You could interpret it as ruthless compassion I suppose.

I designed, started & begun to put together with the square sections for O, but mum finished off when I broke my sewing machine last week. Felt like I've learned a lot. They are draped on chairs so you can't see all of the colours but you get the idea.

Finished #quilting and #sewing taggys for the twins and bonus one for O. It’s really my first finished textile item since GCSE with lots of help from my mum. Lots of mistakes, unpicking & it’s not perfect but I’m ridiculously pleased with myself.

I am heartbroken, my lovely mum fought to the end but sadly died peacefully yesterday with me and my sister holding her hand. Mum attended the vast majority of my concerts and contests and we enjoyed many weekends away and day trips out. She was the best mum.
