I think a big part of the reason Pakistan militarily out-performs other Muslim countries is because they lack the euphoria-amnesia cycle and they don’t regard victory as inevitable. In contrast, they’re keenly aware they face existential threats. The euphoria-amnesia cycle is when someone believes they’re about to win a great victory, it turns out they didn’t, and then they completely forget it ever happened and thus fail to learn from it. We saw this play out with the Ron Arad raid last month. IDF Spec Ops raided a spot in Lebanon where they thought his remains were located. Immediately Hezbollah channels flooded with an entirely illusory victory. They claimed both helicopters were shot down, and that their fighters had closed with the Israelis, killed some and taken the rest prisoner. The problem is that none of this happened. The “shot down helicopters” were videos of a flare, and, I kid you not, the moon. There was no close combat. The Israeli SF identified approaching Hezbo troops and neutralized them with fire support before they got anywhere close, and extracted without issue. And they learned nothing from this experience. They forgot it ever happened and a month later hallucinated a “Merkava massacre” in which they allegedly killed an entire IDF armored battalion with no evidence, and they STILL BELIEVE this happened, even as IDF advances deeper into Lebanon and their men die by the dozen every day. If Pakistanis acted like this, they wouldn’t have a country anymore. Even a nuclear deterrent wouldn’t save them if they were this dumb.

Post Op-Sindoor, Trump repeating the number of jets lost was a calculated move, he was tutored. @Bratt_world They couldn't fly them back out. They were stowed inside the C130 originally and when it couldn't take off, they don't have the range to fly home alone. So they were destroyed. Another flight of C130s landed to pick up everyone.
