Bahay-bata is actually the more medical, technical term in Filipino. It’s the one you see most in public health materials and clinic communication. Sinapupunan leans more literary. Also, bahay-bata is shorter than sinapupunan, so that’s probably the practical dubbing choice.

Rewatching the Conclave Filipino Dub, I was gagged when they used “bahay-bata” as a translation for “womb.” I guess “sinapupunan” is more common, but bahay-bata translated literally is “child’s home.” Which makes Vincent’s intersex identity clearer & more visceral in Filipino.
