A byproduct of running really hard for over 90 minutes is I have this mental clarity that will last a day or so. It's incredible, laser like focus on whatever. Could be hyper productive at work or whatever But it's a Sunday, so I'll watch King of the Hill or something lol

I was informed on Saturday that a woman at Friday’s graduation asked my friend and his family and my own mother who I was and said I was good looking. And not a single one of them gave a phone number or informed me at the moment. I swear I think they like that I’m single.

I chose one of the readings at our wedding Mass to come from the book of Tobit mostly to tweak my Protestant relatives. But it’s an important story, and those looking for a godly spouse should invoke St Raphael:

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the NES is infamous for a lot of reasons. Trying to navigate the Dam level to disarm the bombs being one of the most well known. It wasn't just in our heads. The @DisplacedGamers have a fascinating look at how the code literally fights against you. The worst offender in my eyes is the momentum when you swim into a current. The math gets so weird that your mashing feels pointless even though it's incredibly mandatory. Then you'll slip free of it and go flying, probably into a hazard. To make matters worse, the hitboxes of some of the hazards and your turtle don't line up exactly with what's shown on the screen. So finding yourself taking a bunch of damage out of nowhere is highly likely. It all culminates in a rather frustrating stage. As they point out, it's easy to mitigate by knowing where the bombs are and managing your turtles' health with swapping, but newer players are thrown into the literal deep end. It's no wonder this stage is so famous. #RetroGaming

Had a helpful convo w my counselor yesterday about how to participate and gain from education without being formed by all aspects of it. Just something I’m thinking about ahead of entering mental health/arts spaces with a Christian worldview.

@Jeremyakee The interviewers were asking me if I will be able to interrogate my own biases about music I don’t enjoy and like, yes but also, I KNOW why I don’t like certain things, mainly music w lyrics that are vile about women.
