A Sony vendeu 16 milhões de consoles em 2025 e projeta vender mais 15 milhões em 2026. Só aí já serão 31 milhões de novos consoles no mercado. A base atual do XBOX Series S/X gira em torno de 34 milhões. 😂 Pela lógica, as pessoas deveriam parar de comprar PS5 agora para esperar o lançamento do suposto XBOX Helix, certo? 🤔 Mas a realidade já mostrou o contrário. Muita gente não vai abandonar toda a biblioteca construída no PlayStation para migrar de plataforma. Também diziam que o COD no Day One do Game Pass faria o PS5 despencar em vendas… e, por dois anos seguidos, o PS5 continuou vendendo mais que o XBOX mesmo com COD no serviço. 😅 Esqueçam… isso simplesmente não vai acontecer.

Tengo dudas. ¿Qué es un exclusivo para un pilero? un juego que no salga en play o que solo salga en Xbox ¿Un euro más el PS plus esencial para un pilero es como apuñalarle un huevo? ¿Desde cuándo forza Horizon es un juego de conducción y no algo más similar a Mario Kart?

I want Xbox to go back to exclusives for design focus, quality, competition and dev time reasons, hell, away from PC too if it was feasible, and I've never flip flopped on that, but the numbers for this are far from ideal. Unfortunately sales wise Forza Horizon 6 will be an outlier amoung their console exclusves based on data; as the vast majority simply haven't sold that strong for the better part of over a decade, despite releasing on PC too. If we look at Circana / NPD full year sales charts of console exclusives, since #Xbox started day and date PC releases in 2016: - #Nintendo had 30 exclusives that charted full year - #PlayStation had 19 - #Xbox just 2 This despite the US being Xbox's strongest territory, Xbox games launching PC day and date, and new console launches having far less notable install base differences in initial years. #Starfield is actually the first Xbox exclusive since 2016 that charted in an NPD best selling of the year list, the last being Gears 4. So prior to Starfield it had been a whopping 8 years since Xbox had a really great full year chart selling Xbox exclusive, despite all also releasing on PC (unlike Nintendo and PlayStation exclusives) to an install of potentially hundreds of millions. Forza Horizon 5 only charted in the 2025 full year sales thanks to PS5. Data shows ~70% of Starfield's sales were on PC, so I don't know if it would've charted full year if it had only released on Xbox Series X/S. Helldivers 2 also released on PC day date, but we know its PS5 sales alone were enough to chart full year (~40%-/+ of 15m+ sales). The ironic thing is that since Xbox started doing PC day and date releases, they've had FEWER exclusives chart in full year sales charts than ever before. This may have been bolstered in part by PC cannibalising their Xbox console marketshare and sales, but more notably, Game Pass cannibalising sales. And therein lies the problem. With so much Game Pass traditional sales cannibalisation, can they really afford to go exclusive? Or does something need to give with Game Pass and day and date inclusions first? Even anecdotally, one of the primary reasons I haven't bought an Xbox exclusive in years (despite buying nearly all of the tentpole ones previously), is because I haven't needed to due to Game Pass. Xbox is fortunate PC Game Pass numbers are still so low, hence there's far less potential software sales cannibalisation there compared to on console. An internal Xbox document from the FTC case showed just 3.1m (12.4%) of Game Pass subscribers were PC in late 2022, and while PC GP has seen greater growth than console, the overall number is still likely to be significantly lower than console GP. ____ Here's a summary of console exclusives that charted in each full year Circana/NPD best selling games chart, since 2016. @YoleoAndGames Las exclusivas de Sony en su consola es cuestión de tiempo que vuelva a cambiar y más con la nueva consola que será más cara y la gente se lo pensará más de dos veces a la hora de comprar juegos teniendo una PC . Yo seguiré en mi series X/S y en la futura Helix

@PointStationGod Ese movimiento de Sony para mí va a ser temporal, al final lo sacará en PC para arañar algunos dólares del mercado. Salió su jefazo hace algo más de 1 año diciendo que saldría poco a poco sus juegos en todas las plataformas porque no les salía rentable la venta de juegos y ahora.

Enquanto a Microsoft prepara um evento praticamente dedicado a impulsionar vendas de PS5, anunciando Forza Horizon 6, Halo, Fable, Gears of War e Clockwork Revolution no console da concorrência, a Sony simplesmente abandona as versões para PC. 😂 Essa é a diferença entre uma divisão de games saudável e outra que precisa lançar jogo na Steam, PS5 e Nintendo Switch só para continuar respirando. A XBOX Gaming Studios virou uma publisher third-party com crise de identidade. 😂
