@jamesm @DannPetty I had a good video card when I worked at a web studio, but it still managed to break while I was working on a website page in photoshop and this “don’t forget to press” ctrl+s every 2-5-10 min

@DannPetty Fuck, you just unlocked a core memory of trying to design a website with multiple pages. And the lack of auto-save, meaning losing work all the time because my machine was SHIT.

Today’s “Product Designer” would have never made it in the Photoshop era. We use to have a single file for EACH SCREEN and they’re here crying about you can’t design without an auto layout button, haha.

I've been asked this question for years: ux or ui? I would answer ux now. Without, you know, fluff for ‘both’

@michalmalewicz you are in diffrent status when you for example a company which provide services or either employee. You should understand but you're not because it's your way of work. For people who don't have loud name it could be harmuful till project lost. but I generally agree with you

@paulamicux both We worked for 5 or 6 banks and 3-4 big fintech institutions. Some were b2b oriented. In all cases we had an engagement rules document that the client signed that give us full rights to share our work AFTER its out. Always.

It's crazy how many people don't understand what NDA is. It's NOT an excuse to NOT post your work. If you can't post your work you failed at the signing stage.

@michalmalewicz have you worked with enterprise infrastructure projects or b2c? I mean, I also posted after. But I think I remotely heard the head of the finance department grinding his teeth.

btw, I’m working at new place already… what Ive observed in the market: not everyone has a design system. but everyone has requirements for hypotheses and the ability to do qualitative and quantitative research also requirements work with metrics for middle roles
