@perfectcards yucky also we implemented every "fix" openclaw did, so you likely wouldn't get a better experience there. Did you try it after this update? It should be much stronger than openclaw

Okay after trying opencode and openclaw's latest "improvements" to make gpt-5.4 and codex actually call tools, without huge gains, I tried having Hermes Agent iterate on prompt improvement for the models to make them reliable. Seems like it worked. Update hermes and try with gpt or codex models and let me know if they feel much more reliably bonked.

Genuine question: if every major company starts scanning their entire codebase with Claude Code (auth flows, security logic, vuln patches, all of it) isn’t that a massive privacy concern? Anthropic would theoretically get visibility into the core product logic and security infrastructure for huge chunks of the world. Even with enterprise “no training” promises and zero-retention policies, that’s a lot of trust to place in a single vendor. Am I overthinking this, or is it actually problematic?

Carnice-27b finetuned on Hermes traces Definitely give this a try I’ve been testing for a couple days in hermes and it’s a very stable, very smart model. The difference between base and carnice is subtle but in a good way. I’ve experienced during benchmarking more strict tool calling and skill following, refusal to follow skills that affect files that don’t exist, and more efficient use of tool calls. More formal benchmarks coming

Introducing ⭐Carnice-27b!⭐ an open-source model designed for Hermes-Agent that can run on a single 3090. Carnic-27b is a fine-tuned model of Qwen3.5-27b to perform well in the hermes-agent harness Download it here! huggingface.co/kai-os/Carnice… Huge thanks to @Teknium, @NousResearch, @TheZachMueller, @LambdaAPI

alright agent nerds, if you care about your tokens and usage limits, pay attention to the tools you give to your agents. i built a benchmark that compared various browser tools for agents, and here's an example of their massive difference in cost and latency doing the same task
