Here's a tribute I shared on the site a few days ago: He was an amazing guy and lived super healthy, more so than almost all of his friends who are still kicking, but cancer doesn't discriminate. You guys will appreciate this: he went to Michigan and was a Wolverines fan, but during the course of me operating this site, he and my mom, who also went to Michigan, became huge Terps fans. Watched every game, knew all the players and rooted for them, even when they played Michigan. It was an extension of how supportive they've always been. I don't know if it's possible to be all about your family more than he was. He was months away from seeing me become a grandfather and seeing my son go off to college, but he might've been spared the sight of seeing Jacob go to the school he was legally required to hate, OSU. That didn't change even when Maryland surpassed Michigan for him. The pic below is a classic because he didn't want to wear Maryland or Michigan gear to the UM vs UMD game. Not because he didnt know who to root for, but because my sister would give him ***** for rooting against his (and her) alma mater so he wanted to [appear to] stay neutral. He definitely was rooting for Maryland. I'll be in and out for the next several days, so we might not be on top of everything as fast as usual, though I will be working some just for the distraction. If your dad is still around, send him an I love you text
