We have identified the cause of ongoing error code issues and are investigating a fix. To facilitate this, Destiny Companion features will remain unavailable on web, mobile, and third-party apps throughout the weekend.

No one here thinks the engineers should be overworked. But the company should have contingencies in play (on call team etc), as bugs are to be expected.

You can't use two functions for 2 days, that's just unacceptable now isn't it, and a bunch of people you don't know need to give up their weekend to fix your personal little problem.

When companies drop the ball, they are now communicating very carefully. But they still dropped the ball, and need to expect that they will get flack for it.

@DoritoBoss963 @blu_racer @AceDoesGaming @BungieHelp It isn't two days worth of impact on the user. For those that play on the weekend (most people with 9-5 jobs), no matchmaking means they are a week behind on the pinnacle grind for grandmaster. Many players will effectively be losing a week.

@prawdeeps @AceDoesGaming @BungieHelp Well funny enough they're not an IT company, they're game developers. Yes they have networking people, but the third party service of a video game not being functional does not warrant them staying the weekend.

@blu_racer @AceDoesGaming @BungieHelp Note: I am not whining about DIM. Swapping items does not bother me so much. The companion app is down (I believe Bungie manages that, but you can correct me if I'm wrong). Without the companion app. There is no LFG. With no LFG, many, many players lose their weekend.

@blu_racer @AceDoesGaming @BungieHelp No. Not good enough. Every I.T company worth its salt has an on call team. I'm not working there obviously, but from the sounds of it, all we know is, the dungeon gave error codes, so they disabled the whole companion app. That screws everything that doesn't have matchmaking.

@AceDoesGaming @BungieHelp Yes multi-billion dollar company who still gives their employees time off over the weekend. They can't just stay in the office all weekend and work their asses off. Expecting them to do so is frankly ridiculous, and as a community we should do better.

@BungieHelp Very disappointing. Can't play this game without LFG. Sounds like there is no weekend support. Horrible stuff Bungie, based on what you've mentioned, I don't see why the whole companion app needs to be brought down.
