Bungie really needs to implement a feature where it should ask you to type "DELETE" when deleting a character on top of holding the key. Simple as that.

It seems that the prompt appeared on the screen when it clearly should not have, and the player accidentally hit Enter key.

Apparently, someone had their #Destiny2 character deleted recently where the "Delete Character" prompt popped up randomly for a split second (at 00:28) after selecting the character. Usually, the prompt requires you to hold a key for a couple of seconds. (via Octo)
