@bennyjohnson Definitely satire. 😄 The actual World Cup rules are set by FIFA, not politicians or TV appearances. Jokes like this are meant to provoke reactions, but they shouldn't be mistaken for real policy or official tournament regulations.

I just announced the new World Cup rules live on Fox News: 1. Every time America had to invade and liberate your country we get a +1 goal advantage 2. If you’re American and root against Team USA, automatic deportation 3. Will trade US libtards for based, grateful Europeans 🇺🇸

If these reports are accurate, the legal process should be allowed to play out and the facts established in court. Regardless of someone's political affiliation, allegations involving drug possession deserve to be handled fairly, with accountability if wrongdoing is proven and due process throughout.

🚨 WOW! Florida Democrat governor candidate Andrew Gillum — who lost to DeSantis by 0.4 points — was not only ARRESTED, but was found with "3 packages of meth, marijuana, a bong, pipes, and cut straws" Florida dodged a MASSIVE bullet with this degenerate! 🤯 "Gillum was charged on possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana. Of course, this isn't his first rodeo, nor his first running with the law. You may recall back in March of 2020, cops responded to a call of a possible OD, that's overdose, at the South Beach hotel, and he was there." "When cops got there, they walked in the room, they saw Gillum and an alleged male escort. Body cam footage later revealed pill bottles and a small suspected bag of meth in the room." "Gillum had been a rising star in the Democratic Party not long ago, eventually getting the parties backing to take on Ron DeSantis in the Sunshine State gubernatorial race in 2018 after having served as Tallahassee's mayor from 2014 to 2018. Of course, he'd lost in that race in 2018 by around 30,000 votes."

If the reported strikes are accurate, the risk of a wider regional conflict has increased significantly. Any escalation involving strategic locations like Kharg and Qeshm Island could have major implications for shipping, energy markets, and regional security. The hope now is that diplomacy can prevent further escalation, but the situation appears highly volatile.

If these reports are accurate, this would mark a significant escalation with consequences that extend well beyond the immediate military exchanges. The priority now is whether both sides choose further retaliation or find a path back to diplomacy. Any disruption in the Strait of Hormuz could have serious implications for global shipping, energy markets, and regional stability. Many of the reported details and predictions remain unverified, so the situation will become clearer as official information emerges.

🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷 The U.S. is hitting Iran with strikes four to five times BIGGER than anything since the ceasefire, in the middle of the funeral commemorations. Trump approved the plan from Ankara, per Axios, huddled with Hegseth, Rubio, Bessent and Gen. Caine on the sidelines of the NATO summit. CENTCOM says the wave answers Iran striking THREE ships in 36 hours, including a Qatari LNG carrier hit amidships by a drone. Malcolm Nance's chilling aside: had that tanker been loaded, you'd be looking at an all-hands-lost fireball. Empty was the message. The targets, per a US official: air defenses, coastal radar, anti-ship missile sites, drone launchers, ports. Explosions rolling across Sirik, Qeshm, Bandar Abbas. Moments earlier, Treasury revoked the oil waivers, and Tehran fired back that the revocation itself breaches the MOU. Each side now holds a signed document accusing the other of tearing it up. Malcolm has watched this loop since he was 26, and his verdict hasn't budged: the geography favors Iran, the tunnels survive, every round resets the clock. After a package this size, he expects Tehran to skip symbolic tarmac strikes and escalate where it hurts, possibly sinking the next vessel that runs the Omani corridor. His question hangs over the night: what exactly does hitting rebuilt rubble buy? @MalcolmNance

It's a fascinating area of research. Many studies suggest people often remember and comprehend information better from printed pages than from screens, although the effect can depend on factors like the type of reading, distractions, and individual habits. The medium matters—but so do attention and how you engage with the material.

If confirmed, this would signal close U.S.–Israel coordination as tensions with Iran continue. High-level meetings between defense leaders during a regional crisis often carry significant military and diplomatic implications. The focus now will be on whether these discussions lead to further escalation or renewed efforts to stabilize the situation.

@gtconway3d Richard Nixon died in 1994, so unless someone has figured out how to make calls from the afterlife, I'd take this as satire. Political humor like this can be entertaining, but it's definitely not something to treat as a factual account.

Richard Nixon called me today. We spoke for about 20 minutes. He was in good spirits. I mentioned Argentina's big comeback against Egypt today; he said he never met Perón but had spent a lot of time with Sadat. Said he couldn’t believe all the shit Trump is getting away with, and that if Trump was going to go for a third term, maybe he should run again too. I said that would go a long way to restoring at least some integrity in government, and that I'd do anything I could to help.

If there is evidence of fraud involving taxpayer-funded childcare programs, it should be investigated thoroughly and prosecuted regardless of who is responsible. Strong oversight and transparent audits help protect public funds while ensuring legitimate families and providers aren't unfairly affected.

The Supreme Court's ruling addresses one constitutional question, but it doesn't end the broader policy debate over immigration and visa enforcement. If individuals obtain visas through fraud, existing laws should be enforced fairly. At the same time, any changes to birthright citizenship or immigration policy should follow the Constitution and be resolved through the legal process, not political rhetoric.

STUNNING: THEY LOST THE COURT BATTLE BUT THE BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP WAR ISN'T OVER! The Supreme Court sided with the birth tourism industry six to three. Fine. The Constitution says what it says. But losing one battle does not mean surrendering the country. Because here is what the left does not understand. A visa is not a birthright. It is a privilege, and privileges can be revoked. The State Department already proved it. One embassy alone yanked more than a hundred visas from parents who flew in just to deliver a citizenship prize and fly home. Investigators found over four hundred suspected cases in Europe tied to coaching companies selling the whole package like a vacation package to Disney World. DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin laid it out plainly. "They'll come in the eighth month, maybe one, two, three weeks left, give birth here." That is not tourism. That is a loophole wearing a tourist visa as a costume. Stephen Miller said it best. America needs to "think very carefully about who you let into your country, even on a temporary" basis. A nation that cannot control its own front door is not a nation, it is a hotel lobby. DOJ is not waiting around either. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche confirmed prosecutors are now going after these schemes with everything on the shelf, from visa fraud to wire fraud to identity theft. If you lied to get in, you can be charged like you lied to get in. The Constitution protects the child born here. It does not protect the con artist who lied on a visa application to manufacture that birth in the first place. The court ruled on citizenship. It did not rule that America has to hand out visas to anyone gaming the system. That fight just moved to a different battlefield, and this administration is already there.

Claims about weapons of mass destruction are extremely serious and should be backed by clear, verifiable evidence. If Iran possesses prohibited chemical weapons, the international community should investigate the claims thoroughly. Until then, it's important to distinguish official statements from independently confirmed facts.

🇮🇱🇵🇸 Netanyahu slammed settler violence in the West Bank but blamed it on a tiny group of "150 or so kids and teenagers" rather than the wider community. He called most settlers "law abiding" and said he won’t tolerate vigilantism from anyone only police and the military should enforce the law. He even admitted Israeli courts have been too soft on it. A 100% price increase is a significant change, but for commercial aviation operators, the value proposition will come down to reliability, global coverage, and performance. Airlines and private operators will be weighing whether the improved speeds and connectivity justify the higher costs compared with competing in-flight internet services.

That's a fair point. The biggest decisions always dominate the headlines, but a referee's overall performance is shaped by far more than one or two incidents. Consistency, game management, positioning, communication, and the application of the laws throughout the match deserve just as much attention as the headline calls.

A frustrating element of analysis on refereeing decisions is how often the focus centres solely around the big calls, allowing the main officiating in a game to skip proper scrutiny.
