@physmitch @AdamMeakins This contributes to the dependency on a “thing” to fix my pain. When I see 30 visits of stim, US and HPs this isn’t therapy. What in that treatment plan requires the skills of a therapist? Exercise and biopsych to increase self-efficacy. Hard stop.

@AdamMeakins But what happens if a patients belief is that them modalities work and help their pain. Use what works for the individual along side what we know or the evidence suggests. No treatment is better than the other if it works for the individual use it as a way in.

If you were to take the ultrasound machines and needles out of some physios hands I bet they wouldn’t have a feckin clue what to do with those they saw in pain! 🤣

Massage therapist giving stretches. I could go on. Exercise is not proprietary and these sharp elbows and territorialism will be the end of us.

@ptbise @PTPintcast @APTAtweets @VPTA_Tweets It is a proprietary intervention when it is used to address pain and personal trainers are not legally able to treat pain. It must be done so by medical provider which a personal trainer is not one.
