@ZynxBTC Since mining is now centralized, your tx could just be blocked imo. Or blacklisted
English

@quadriocellata Its performance the last few years hasn't been the best but that will be rectified, as always.
How can you confiscate 12 seed words in my head?
I'm a Bitcoin maxi but recognise Monero is easy to use for privacy on layer 1.

Recently my posts on the UK economy have gone viral, with one making it all the way to GB News.
That has brought new followers who may be wondering what I normally talk about. Bitcoin, markets, equities.
I cannot spend every day posting about the UK economy. It's simply too depressing. I will continue that analysis several times a week, but for the most part I want to talk about solutions.
Here is the reality. Britain is broken. In times of economic collapse, governments become kleptomaniac. Higher taxes, more control, more printing. We are already experiencing this. The pound is losing its value and will continue to do so.
The only way to protect yourself is to own assets. Hard assets like Bitcoin and Gold. Equities. Anything that the money printer cannot erode.
A salary alone will never keep up. You will always be behind if you do not own assets. Every excess pound you have should be working for you.
Bitcoin is the purest expression of this. A neutral, global, hard asset that cannot be confiscated, inflated or controlled by any government.
Most of my posts will be about these solutions. Bitcoin and Bitcoin-related equities. You will see in time how it is all connected.
Feel free to reach out in DMs with any questions.

@ZynxBTC Further to that. I have big concerns about Bitcoin treasuring companies, when/if such large amounts of Bitcoin are sold on the open market, it will be chaos.
Mining reward also doesn't look sustainable is has not been addressed
English

@ZynxBTC I used to think this about Bitcoin, but it (especially last years) has been trading like a leveraged tech stock.
It can be confiscated because it isn't private. It also doesn't scale very well.
Do you have any opinions on Monero? It's the conclusion the rabbit hole led me too.

While I'm inactive on Twitter these days, and generally don't hype my work to absurd degrees (preferring to actually do the work), I'm really happy with the progress here. Wrapping up testing, testnet, and then... ready for deployment? 👀
Serai DEX@SeraiDEX
The audit of Serai's blockchain has completed! We are incredibly excited to have our node implement all of the required protocol functionality and to have received review from Security Research Labs @SecReLabs, leaders in the Substrate/Polkadot ecosystem.

@tuxpizza Imagine for example I make limited searches, it would be nice for me to use PAYG to have credit and clearly see the cost for any search reduce my balance. It would also feel "fairer" since I pay for what I use.
With Monero that would be super simple to just top up the account
English

@tuxpizza I've been using Kagi for the past year, me and my partner love it. It's a lot cleaner than google, lots of handy features.
Just a shame about the subscription model and no monero support, bc a seth post actually got me to sign up for that originally from reddit =)
English

People are way too conditioned to everything being "free" (however it's not free, you are paying for it with your data).
If you want high quality, open source, privacy respecting alternatives, stop complaining when they *optionally* ask for money.
I will be buying Brave Origin.
vxdb@vxdb
$60 for a browser is crazy
English

@tuxpizza It can probably work for them for quite a while bc they will generate money from other revenue streams
English

@quadriocellata Time will tell. But seems like they have gotten away without it for quite a long time already.
English

@tuxpizza for example, I understand a service like kagi couldn't work with one time payments.
But I am disappointed they don't offer PAYG alternative, and now have not implemented monero support.
I am very happy to pay for things that don't abuse me and provide good service.
English

@tuxpizza I like the one time purchase, but also feel like that model can't work sustainably - if it's software that requires maintaining.
I'd really like to see more pay-as-you-go options alongside subscriptions. imo mullvad has a really great example of this, honest pricing.

@MonericaProject Looks pretty vibey ? Is it?
This kinda orange glow appears on a lot of Monero projects atm :D
where do you pull the price data, is it from coingecko or coinmarketcap api ?
English

Version 1 of MoneroMarketCap.com live (created in 24 hours).

Monerica@MonericaProject
Monerica is expanding to new Monero sites. Next: MoneroMarketCap - where everything is priced relative to Monero.
English

@OrangeFren Harsher regulatory environment, countless delistings and transaction count is the same or slightly higher, no other coin could do that.
Things could be better but for sure could be worse
