If you’re going to help someone less privileged than you, a delivery person, a vendor, anyone…that’s wonderful, just do it. Maybe write about it in retrospect. Don’t film them for views. Don’t film them breaking down. Insta is full of good samaritans, click farming.

Two kinds of people use AI: 1) Obsesses over its mistakes and finds reasons not to use it. 2) Exploits its strengths and works around its flaws to become dangerously productive. Use AI like an army of high-IQ interns. Not like an expert you’re trying to catch being wrong.

I see college festivals trying desperately to get someone to come speak at their event. Best speakers may not come to a college event & are better consumed via YouTube. And those who may come may not necessarily add much value. They should rethink the Darshan culture.

⚠️ trigger warning we all love a good startup fundraise story and talking about how quick commerce is the next big consumer internet wave. but why are we not talking nearly enough about how some of these companies treat women’s safety like a joke? a friend booked a snabbit expert to clean his room. when she arrived, she was visibly apprehensive about entering a bachelor’s home because other women working with snabbit had reported being groped, beaten, and even raped. she showed him these images as proof. sure, there may be some checks and balances in place but clearly not enough to curb this abuse. what’s most upsetting is that many of these women have accepted this as “part of the job” because it’s their only source of seemingly empowered employment. it’s an imperfect system with deeply misaligned incentives but safety is table stakes. it’s baffling to me how any company can take this lightly or worse, not actively solve for it. we really don’t deserve nice things if we don’t behave differently.

booked an auto. lady driver pulls up. my friends got more excited than me lol “omg omg it’s a woman driver.” obviously had to talk to her. > she told me namma yatri trained her for 40days ig, felt that electric auto was easier to ride > got the auto on loan,she has already paid 2.5L > makes ~45k/month and sometimes more > there are ~300 women auto drivers across koramangala apparently, they’re all in a group > she’s never been teased, said people are mostly supportive. > she smiled and said her favourite part is youngsters talking to her at signals. girls especially talk to hed proudly happy, waving, smiling > she didn't get any subsidised loan. no special interest. not even because it’s an electric auto (and yeah, i really wish that support existed for women.) but still she was just… happy. confident. proud. whole ride felt insanely wholesome sometimes bangalore gets it very right 💛
