Today I saw @rbanks54 use @code for #dotnet in his #NDCSydney perf talk and @slace use it for TS / #csharp in his GraphQL talk, both great talks BTW, and recorded. If you write C# and are curious about #VSCode, I'll be sharing how I use them together tomorrow at 4:40pm (room 4).

Delivered my #NDCSydney performance talk. All green responses. Happy with that. Also happy that we're back to in-person tech conferences! It's great catching up with people and meeting new people. Looking forward to more of it!

We run regular hackathons with the most recent one themed as "pay it forward". i.e. give back to the OSS community. Our AppSec team did security analysis of a popular LMS and just had a few new CVEs published as a result of their efforts. Awesome!🤗

Reviewing resumes. I can't but wonder why so many candidates seem to believe whitespace should be ruthlessly removed? Are they trying to punish the recruiting industry through full-width walls of text where at least 40% of the words are in bold?

That moment when a recruiter from your previous employer gets in touch via LinkedIn to say "I noticed your dev experience..." ...and the rest of the message implies "and I didn't even bother doing the most basic of checks to find out what you did here before".

Ooh! Another cold call email snuck through the filter... this featured the non-ironic use of Comic Sans in part of the message. I'm sooo tempted to reply with "I was interested in your idea, but your use of Comic Sans made you look stupid, so it's a hard No!"
