Remembering that time I got to collaborate with Atari Teenage Riot. I've been a fan of ATR for over 2 decades. Their music changed my perception of what electronic music could be, as I was 100% a metalhead back then. I remember listening to the first song I ever heard from them—a collaboration with Slayer called "No Remorse," part of the Spawn Soundtrack—and I was instantly blown away. It was so raw and powerful that I couldn't believe it. I remember hanging out with my friends that night, drinking rum, and playing this track on repeat for pretty much the entire night. It was an amazing discovery! This track used one of the most iconic audio samples that gave birth to nearly all broken beats genres: the infamous Amen Break. Little did I know that this song would change my life forever. After listening to this track, I became interested in Drum & Bass, a genre known for using the Amen Break extensively. I fell in love with the genre, started a career in audio engineering, and learned to mix. I founded a D&B crew with some great friends, threw endless parties, traveled to many places, and after many years of adventures, I was booked to play at a gig that changed my life. I married the woman who was organizing this event, and we've been happily married for over 10 years now. We have two daughters and have lived our best lives ever since! All of this happened because of the love we shared for Drum & Bass, and I probably would have never heard of this genre if it weren't for Atari Teenage Riot. For that, I'm eternally grateful! You can now imagine how significant it was to find out that @ATRiot_ was keen to collaborate with me on an art piece. I consider this one of the highlights of my entire career, a piece I will cherish until the end of time. This space changes lives and makes dreams come true. Keep working hard and, most importantly, enjoy the ride!
