Game day! Braintree American takes on the Southeast region representative, Irmo SC, at 3 PM ET today in their first game of the LLWS in Williamsport, PA. The game will be aired on ESPN. This is a historic day for Braintree American and the town. The team has captured the attention of the entire region and the outreach and support has been amazing! The boys and coaching staff can’t wait to get on the field and represent against a fantastic team from Irmo, SC!

Thanks to the leadership of @RonMariano @RepMichlewitz and @RepMarkCusack, @MauraHealey signed a major tax reform package into law this week. It includes much-needed relief such as tax credits for low-income people and families #mapoli.

We are proud to announce that the Massachusetts Legislature will act to establish the Taxpayer Energy and Economic Relief Fund, through which economic relief rebates of $250 for individuals and $500 for families in the Commonwealth will be issued.

#BraintreeMA celebrated this morning with a Topping Off at the Braintree South Middle School, marking the conclusion of this phase of construction. @Mass_SBA is a proud partner, supporting the project with over $30m in total facilities grants.

Very pleased to see that the @townofbraintree was among the grant recipients of the Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) Program, announced by the state today. #BraintreeMA is receiving $750,000 for renovations and construction along the Monatiquot River.

ADVISORY: The South Shore Plaza, @Target and plaza @MBTA bus stop will be closing at 5pm. Heavy police presence will be patrolling around town and the plaza. Anyone entering the plaza after 5 will be advised to leave or subject to trespass.

Due to social media posts planning to loot the South Shore Plaza, a heavy police presence was shown today and will continue this evening. The mall is now closed. Anyone on the property without a legitimate reason will be asked to leave & possible tresspass. Do not come down here
