@TimothyTroast Today is my 3rd and final exit from Twitter since its inception. Other than #AVInTheAM the only reason for this last return, is just not enough to overcome other objections to its direction.

As a small business leader, the challenges of changing business demands, opportunities, and needs are real. We always hire to provide a career. It is important to have a team that can adapt and grow with you knowing we will need to make adjustments along the way. #AVinTheAM

@chris_neto The difference between job & career isn't about the technology. A career is when you define your identity around what you are doing for a living, whereas a job is simply a "stop" on a path. The transition happens when people feel valued & can offer an impact. #AVinTheAM

@BuildWithGaurav Sunday unless it's football, it's always big breakfast and special dinners. Of course it starts with the NY times but the key has always been, family together day.... It's just the way old fashion Italian families do it.

@ItsAliceChristi To hire someone to clean the house 1x a month. Deep clean, polishing the floors to washing the baseboards & clean the oven... Add, sending Mr. Pickles my CavaPoo to dog socialization school. Loves people, but 'Covid dogs' missed other stuff.

@JosiahWay @chris_neto Often...I guess so..... but my job and my career were the same from day 1 and on for 28 years. After that, roles from EIR to hopefully helping others out of a 'fix' or to grow...... those after my career were jobs. #AVInTheAM

@chris_neto A career is your purpose and focus, a job is what you do to earn money. Two different things. One is an identity, one is an action. Nothing to do with degrees/exp/etc. A career's about knowing you're where you belong in alignment w/your life goals. Jobs pay bills. #AVinTheAM

Q3 What's the biggest factor that differentiates a career from just a job in your opinion? Let's bring degree, Certs, Time, and Experience into the conversation here. Do they both exist in the AV space? #CareerVsJob #AVinTheAm #AVtweeps

@_AVAP @chris_neto Continual improvement is a key to long term success. Once someone stops growing and showing interest in bettering themselves no matter what stage they are in their career, they start losing value. This includes professional development as much as knowledge. #AVinTheAM

@chris_neto My Dad was an entrepreneur, I was an entrepreneur. Certainly in the era of traditionalist-hands over head skills - was common. Yet mgtm skillsets seemed on the same course of people skills & leadership qualities. I agree here w others that multiple jobs is often a + #avintheam

Q2 Not in your grandpa's time... How do you think society's perspective on careers and jobs has evolved over the years, and what does it mean for future professionals? Or is it the same vibe with a different spin? #CareerVsJob #AvintheAm #AVtweeps

@chris_neto The idea of staying w/one employer for a lifetime is dead & gone. But that's cuz society has changed. We're interconnected w/new industries popping up everyday. Work is fluid. So, it's about growth & relevancy rather than longevity for a single employer. #AVinTheAM

@chris_neto Absolutely yes... It's management's job to coach that person into the right seat on the bus - or- suggest a different bus #avintheam

@chris_neto Those attributes are surely central to growth if aptitude & character are in alignment w ones passion & energy. If you have that, the career & more money should follow. Honestly $$$ does matter especially as we get older so have a plan if that is an additional driver.#AVInTheAM

Q4 So Education, skills, passion - how do these factors play into your decision to pursue a meaningful career or a regular job? Do they steer your choice of #CareerVsJob or do you get to a point where the passion is outweighed by "Dollars and "Sense"? #AVtweeps #AVintheAM

Q5 We've argued the path, or lack thereof. But can a entry-level job lead to a successful career, or are they distinct (undocumented) paths? Share examples that challenge the norm. I'm aware that this may lead to a conversation about #DEI. #CareerVsJob #AVinTheAM #AVtweeps
