Just bc a product may be cheaper up front than your usual, your team may take longer to config it, wiping out any savings #AVintheAM

Dear AV Manufacturers: As (of course) more and more pieces of equipment are added to the network, I encourage you to add some sort of small LCD/LED screen with the ability to display the current IP Address Settings. That would really help servicing/supporting old systems

@chris_neto I always did AV as a "side job" until I joined @mechdyne. I worked as a stagehand and pt FOH audio engineer since high school. It was the people here that really allowed me to flourish. It wasn't until a number of "higher-up" people left that i came out of my shell #AVintheAM

@chris_neto Depends on the space. Conf rooms are often run by IT, but content dev spaces usually Marketing. But the spaces themselves should be able to be ran by either #AVintheAM

@nancyblanchard Yeah, looks like part of the rigging itself failed. Unfortunately, most safety cables are only about 3-4 feet long, and in this case probably wouldn't have been able to reach up to the main rigging above the scenery. I'm very curious about the report that I hope is created.
