Still thinking about NYC spending $62 mil for 8 escalators. Perfect illustration of how wasteful gov't can be when the attitude is that city can just raise taxes. Coming from Houston, which has a revenue cap, every $ of govt spending has to be stretched. NYC doesn't seem to care.
