Huh didn’t know this. Interesting as you think of very strong incentives pilots have around aircraft and passenger safety. The airline industry also shares detailed postmortems of all incidents across the industry AFAIK. Feels like there’s plenty to learn from them on safety.

I respect professionals who put the principles of their craft first. In the case of pilots: it’s to safely get passengers d from A to B, and not to ensure airline profits. Making a call that goes against business interests (and can even get you internally in trouble) is tough.

I really miss London’s cultural scene: theatres, galleries, museums, ballet, and so much more. Sometimes I think I’d happily live in a 14sqm box just to have these available all year round.
