@mostlyylame The problem isn’t that he doesn’t know, it’s thinking he’ll do better when he already knows and still doesn’t.

Your first mistake in life as a woman, is to assume a man doesn't know what he is doing.

@eyojoel77 It’s not even dating anymore, it’s just getting attached to people who give you just enough to stay, but not enough to feel secure.

@Nomagugu_xo Yeah, because your focus shifts. You start dealing with real responsibilities, and a lot of what you’re handling doesn’t fit into a post or a caption. You end up valuing your privacy more than the need to be seen.

Adulting has humbled me a lot. I finally understand why so many adults stop posting on social media or even deactivate their accounts.

@OrevaZSN It’s how they say it. No ‘babe,’ no softness… just full-on ‘oh shit, I’m in trouble’ vibes.

@libriscent Yeah, that one hits. You’re talking and they grab their phone, it makes you feel stupid for even speaking. After that you don’t even want to finish what you were saying. It just tells you you don’t matter in that moment.

We don’t talk enough about how looking at our phones while someone is telling us a story is a form of rejection.

@Justtdavid_ Yeah… it’s nice, but it also messes with your head a bit. You start hoping, overthinking, wondering where it’s going. Feels good, but you also know you’ve got something to lose now.

@tailopez If you’re there to learn, cool, but just being around rich people doesn’t change anything. You can sit in those rooms for years and still have nothing to show for it. Being around value isn’t the same as having any.

The more emotional intelligent you become, the less you take things personally. You start to see that other people's behaviors are often reflections of their own struggles, not a statement about your worth.

@OrevaZSN Yeah, but not straight away. It usually comes out later as they get older. Kids don’t just believe what they’re told, they start remembering things for themselves, who was there, who made life harder, how things actually felt. That’s what they base it on.

@Lush_Beauty1 Everyone sees the same things, success, confidence, progress, but what they do after is what matters. Some try learn from it, others just sit there thinking why not me. One response keeps you stuck, the other moves you forward.

@Lush_Beauty1 You just get tired of putting energy into things that go nowhere, so after a while you stop reacting to everything and start choosing where your energy goes instead of letting everything pull at you.

Now I understand why older people are calmer… after you’ve died enough times inside, you learn to breathe, let go, and simply be.

@Softnessa_ Everyone feels overwhelmed by how bad things are, but when a moment shows up right in front of them, most people do nothing. That’s the difference, not what you feel about the world, what you actually do when it’s your turn.

Yesterday I was spiraling because the world is terrible. I turned to my husband and said “what do we do?” Later we were paying for our sushi and a woman was on the phone upset because her card declined as she was with her kids for lunch. My husband quietly told the waitress that he would pay for their meal, but not to tell them until we were gone. In the car he turned to me and said “Remember what you asked me earlier? That’s what we do. We show kindness no matter what.” I love that man.

@libriscent It all comes down to this: if they can treat you any way and still have you, nothing pushes them to do better. People don’t change what already works for them.

DON’T ACT SURPRISED WHEN PEOPLE TREAT YOU LIKE AN OPTION AFTER YOU BEEN MOVING LIKE YOU ALWAYS GONNA BE THERE. you kept showing up no matter what, kept replying, kept forgiving… so they got comfortable doing the bare minimum. it ain’t even that they switched, you just made it too easy for them not to try.

@nickimoraa This is how a lot of friendships run… one person keeps showing up and everyone else just coasts. The moment they stop, everything falls apart because it was never mutual to begin with.

In every group, there’s that one quiet person. Ours was Kevin. Always there, always listening, always laughing at the right moments. Never really the center of anything, but somehow holding everything together. We joked around him, made plans around him, assumed he’d always show up. And he did—until one day he didn’t. No message, no explanation. Just… gone from the group chat. At first, we laughed it off. “Kevin finally found better friends,” someone said. Weeks passed. Then months. The group slowly got quieter too. One night, I ran into him at a supermarket. He looked the same, just a little more tired. We talked for a bit. I asked why he disappeared. He shrugged. “I stopped texting first just to see what would happen.” I didn’t know what to say after that. Because the answer was obvious. And it wasn’t something you can apologize your way out of.

@tailopez People love calling themselves misunderstood because it sounds smarter. But if no one understands you, your ideas go nowhere. That’s not depth, that’s just failing to communicate effectively.

@Solyricon Yes! Those long texts aren’t changing anything… you’re explaining yourself to someone who already decided they don’t care, and that’s the part you don’t want to accept.
