Today, a delegation of six members from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Malawi made a courtesy call to the Rwanda Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS/RRP+. The purpose of their visit was to know about the contribution of RRP+ to the process of preventing HIV, improving adherence to continuity of care and treatment for People Living with HIV, restoring their hope and improving the quality of life, with their families and communities affected by HIV. As a national umbrella of PLHIV, since 2003, RRP+ follows 162,703 Recipients of Care (ROC), about 73% of PLHIV countrywide, mostly reached through 4,459 Peer Educators, with support from @RwandaGov and different stakeholders; both local and international Possible opportunities to exploit looked at during interactions between the Malawian delegation and RRP+ include: - Enhancing community engagement models. - Peer-led adherence, Youth ambassadorship, and stigma reduction approaches. - Collaboration on diagnostics demand creation. - Integration of NCDs into HIV services - Strengthening PLHIV networks for program sustainability The Malawian delegation that has been in Rwanda since March 29th, 2026 to learn from the exemplary work of Rwanda’s Ministry of Health includes representatives Ministry of Health - Department of HIV and AIDS (prevention program & Laboratory, Procurement and Supply Management, the Deputy Director and Abbott, a global leader in cardiovascular care, diabetes management, diagnostic testing, nutrition, pain and movement disorders.

Today, RRP+ stands with partners and communities to mark World TB Day 2026. Stronger collaboration, community-led response and promoting access to TB prevention, screening, and treatment remain paramount. Yes!, We can end TB. -Despite progress, financial constraints continue to limit an effective response to ending TB. -Ending TB requires strong & integrated health systems that connect services for better people-centered care. -Ending TB also requires active private sector engagement to accelerate progress.

@rrpplus in partnership with @ahfrwanda have launched a campaign on condom use as a measure to prevent new HIV infections, Hepatitis, sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and unplanned pregnancies.
