After ten years in crypto, I’m starting something new. I’m building WeLikeSports.com with a small team of elite operators that I’ve been hoping to work with for years. On the surface, it’s a sports pool platform. But to me, it’s something else entirely. A small window into a possible future: one where money, games, and people are deeply and effortlessly intertwined. And a business model where the platform succeeds when the user succeeds. Where the ethical decision is also the economically rational decision. I’ve spent the last decade investing, trading, and helping teams build, mostly in B2B platforms. Along the way, I’ve met a lot of incredible founders and watched companies like @Morpho @Multisig and @GromaCorp grow from ideas into businesses. As an investor in both Luna and FTX, I’ve also seen a lot of things go terribly wrong. You learn a lot watching companies get built. But eventually, you get tired of cheerleading. For the last decade I’ve helped other people build their vision. Now I feel ready to build my own.

1/ Today we’re introducing WeLikeSports.com: a better way to run sports pools with friends. No rake, no commissioner, no waiting for payouts. Just set up a bracket, survivor, squares, or pick’em pool and you're ready to win.

prediction markets are powerful but they only work for objective questions. the problem is many of the most interesting questions -- like "AGI in 2026" -- are subjective. fact machine makes this entire class of questions legible for the first time

clean example of persistent sensing networks. turn an ordinary router into a passive rf sensor. the stack is simple: 1. an ambient signal field 2. cheap distributed sensors 3. an inference layer that turns perturbations into a map of reality the deeper point is that comms infrastructure is becoming sensing infrastructure as signals saturate the world and receivers get cheap by the day
Oliver Prompts@oliviscusAI

🚨 BREAKING: Someone just open-sourced software that sees you through walls using only WIFI signals. it’s called WiFi-DensePose. It maps your exact body pose in real-time. no cameras. no sensors. just your living room router. 100% Open Source.

been thinking about Fringe Untapped Data at @VoltCapital for a long time now FUD is not just about collecting data. that makes you a broker it is about designing crypto economic systems that incentivize the right collection what our AI overlords cant - reward the edge - verify the source - build the loop FUD lives where there are no APIs (eg robot arms, off grid sensors, localized human interactions). This is not public data. It is invisible until someone designs a system that makes it economically worth surfacing. we have backed teams doing this in health, robotics and space and were looking for more in energy and defense. moats are built on the edge

Today is my last day at 8090 Industries. I’m deeply grateful for my time at the firm and for my colleagues in our shared pursuit of backing the next generation of industrialists. Thank you to @RayyanIslam1 for taking a chance on me three and a half years ago and bringing me onto the team. I’m proud of what we built and excited for the bright future ahead at 8090 as they support reindustrialization and abundance. Being around generation-defining founders challenged something in me and inspired me to take this next step of the journey — to chase a singular mission that the world urgently needs and pursue it with furious attention. I’m indebted to my founder friends for modeling that conviction. Their example amplified what God was already stirring in my heart: the call to build. As I step into the next chapter, I’m reminded of the opening scene of Homer’s Odyssey where Odysseus leaves the comfort of Calypso’s island to cross uncertain seas towards his homeland where he belongs. The journey would be painful but necessary. He knew the odds, and he still goes. Now is the time to pursue my mission. Recent current events show this to be true, the world will not wait for the United States to be prepared for the next generation of armed conflict. We will need to democratize the exquisite for high volume production, fielding many while still fielding technological-masterpieces. I’m excited to share more later this year. For now — time to build.

comparing stablecoins to instant payment rails like FedNow misses the bet entirely imo. instant payments optimize the speed of money within the existing financial system while stablecoins are a bet that the existing financial system isn't the right architecture for what comes next - AI, global commerce, 24/7 markets, etc. FedNow makes bank-to-bank transfers instant. cool. stablecoins make dollars programmable, composable, and permissionlessly global. one upgrades plumbing, the other rebuilds the house.
