@andrew_leach We are disproportionately high because we are disproportionately cold. Canada isn’t the problem and even if we 100% eliminate our emissions the rest of the world will make them up in under a year. Our PM is a clown.

Canada's Prime Minister on why we should act to reduce emissions even though we account for less than 2% of global emissions. From one of my favorite speeches from a PM on the world stage.

@andrew_leach Climitard Noun: a person who doesn’t understand that making small changes in an effort to reduce the amount of CO2 tax paid to the government can have a positive effect on the climate.

@maxfawcett A good time to note that when PM Trudeau was accosted on a beach during his holiday by a faux wannabe 'reporter' he was wearing a tee shirt with 'Canada Proud' on it.

@KidinaSandbox @TheBikingLawyer @BravoDavenport I was cycling through an intersection on a green light. Driver made a left turn in front of me and I broadsided him. As I was closing out the insurance claim the adjuster noted his report didn’t contradict mine at all. He admitted to seeing me, just thought he was in the right.

@TheBikingLawyer @BravoDavenport I was cycling thru an intersection in a bike lane on green and a left hand turning driver cut in front of me and gave me the finger. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I was in the cross walk as a ped w a full walk symbol. Motorist ripped left in front of me. I thru my hand up said what about my safety only to be called a "f$cking pr#ck". This intersection. This hatred. I'm exhausted. Cc @BravoDavenport Cvwm562

@drdagly The ones that confuse me are the 4-way Yields on 83 Ave east of 99th. What does the RoW hierarchy look like?

Ok, been riding this thing for years and I still don’t understand why when a car has a stop sign I have a yield on the right of way? Do pedestrians have to yield in crosswalks? This feels like a conflict generator.

@THEColeBoyd @timquerengesser I rarely cross at this one but 84 Ave is supremely frustrating. If you can see the train approaching 82nd from Avenmore, just relax and accept that you’ve missed the train, because you’re not getting a walk signal until after the train has come and gone.

@thestephtruck @CityofEdmonton Interesting that it says the closure started today. It was closed yesterday afternoon. I looked this morning before I left for work to see if it was still closed. When I couldn’t find anything I thought it must have been a short closure.

@rtiedema @CityofEdmonton it's technically hidden in the traffic disruptions page, but my understanding is that they're doing inspections on (this) northbound side, and then closing the southbound side for rehab. @CityofEdmonton the communications, signage, and detouring on this have been terrible.

@andrew_leach In my case I went from cycle-commuting 5d/wk 12mo/yr pre COVID, then FT WFH, then PT WFH, then the city built an LRT with stops 1 block from home and 1 block from work. Now, at best, I cycle-commute 2d/wk roughly 7mo/yr.

Bike counters (High Level or 107st) definitely showing how many fewer people are commuting than was the case pre-COVID. Work-from-home > bike-to-work?
