@sentdefender Frankly, if he's not willing to finish the job he should have never started it. This is not winning. He's not "losing". What a waste of American blood.

According to the Wall Street Journal, citing officials with knowledge on the matter, U.S. President Donald J. Trump has told aides that he is willing to conclude operations against Iran even if it means leaving the Strait of Hormuz in a deadlock. Per the report, the administration assesses that operations to forcibly reopen the strait will likely extend the conflict past the previously established 4-5 weeks and that reaching the goals of severely degrading Iranian conventional military capabilities may be the the route to go. Additionally, according to the report, other military options on the table, including ground operations, are not President Trump’s priorities right now.

@lydiahallie It's kind of ridiculous. I asked it to do one task, and immediately asked for more money.
English

@redarrowhead @Osinttechnical It took months and months during WW2, and even then the regimes didn’t fall. Apples and oranges, of course.
English

@Osinttechnical This can take several weeks tho
Economic targets are probably very large
English

@bearsarestupid @sentdefender Why is the Trump WH/DoD leaking these plans during a war anyway? Where's the opsec and message discipline?
English

@sentdefender So, the media is taking every chance they can get to hamper the US.
Sounds about right.

According to Israel’s Channel 12 News, the early-war leaks to the media on the Kurdish offensive that never transpired was the impetus for U.S. President Donald J. Trump to forego the plan, which likely saved many Kurdish lives, as most assessments had any Kurdish offensive being highly costly.

English

@Osinttechnical Good luck with that. And congrats, again, on letting Netanyahu lead you by the nose.
English

@AdamSmithEcho @ChristianHeiens You know, when W took measures to end Saddam, he spent months building up forces in the region and making sure he had the backing of allies. Trump did nothing of the sort.
English

@ChristianHeiens I'm glad we have a president who can properly weigh these valid concerns against the risk of nuclear-powered ayatollahs. Trump is ending a 47-year war.

A US invasion of Iran is not going to produce the tens of thousands of dead Americans that third-world propagandists continue to claim it would. There's no universe where the United States loses militarily to Iran in a conventional way.
The entire Iraq and Afghanistan wars combined amounted to less than 8,000 killed over a 20-year period. What's likely going to happen is the US suffers a few hundred casualties taking Kharg Island and any other coastal facilities the Pentagon wishes to use as a bargaining chip in peace negotiations.
That isn't the problem. The problem is that such a ground offensive will be used to further demoralize the Right and bring the cultural Marxists back into power.
People who would love nothing more than to reopen the border, import another 20 million third-worlders, trans kids, and leverage state power to discriminate against White men will not openly campaign on these things.
They'll campaign on the Virginia model. They'll talk about "affordability" and "being against the war". Only after being swept into power on the back of public anti-war sentiment will they begin to implement the various civilizationally destructive policies of gay race communism that we're all now all too familiar with.
This war with Iran is stupid not because we can't win, but because it will be used to destroy the Right and bring those who hate this country and its people back into power.
English

@theHirad @ChristianHeiens I could fuck Sydney Sweeney before the midterms. I think it can happen.
English

@ChristianHeiens The US must win and so completely and decisively as to renew legitimacy for US involvement around the world. And it has to do so before the midterms. I think it can happen.

US didn’t lose to the taliban. US lost the desire to stay in Afghanistan and it didn’t manage to build a force that could stand up to the taliban on its own. Iran is a fundamentally different country with totally different social and political dynamics, including an extremely pro-USA population.

@Poopfart91 @9mmsmg ...and depending on the scale of the nuclear deployment, it would be a humanitarian catastrophe, and would cause massive environmental damage.
English

@Poopfart91 @9mmsmg Nuking them would cause way more problems than it would solve. It would give license to China, Russia to nuke Ukraine and Taiwan. And it's not even certain that nuclear weapons would have the desired effect i.e. breaking Iran's will...

Trump is going to make an important decision soon. This decision will decide if we are a sovereign nation or not. This decision will shape the entire political landscape in midterms dramatically.
I'm not a constant doomer, in fact I've lost a large number of followers from being optimistic. If we put boots on the ground in Iran, we've been sold out completely and that's unforgivable. We lost to the likes of Loomer and Levin.
Pray he doesn't do what I now believe he is going to do.

NEW — 🇮🇱🇺🇸🇮🇷 Channel 12 says that in case of a U.S. ground operation in Iran, Israeli soldiers will NOT participate on the ground.

Can't really say I follow the logic of these "conservatives" you speak of. Seems a bit psychotic to me.
"I'm so mad we are at war with Iran. No wars! When we get nuked, then maybe those of us who are left can think about some sort of response. But only if congress approves!!"
"I'm so mad at Trump that I'm going to let the communists who want to exterminate the white race win. That will teach em!!"
English

I’ve never seen such a disconnect between the commentary on this site and what I hear in the real world. I’ve talked to dozens of normal conservatives in real life about the Iran War and I haven’t met a single one who’s actually enthusiastically in favor of it. At best they’re warily optimistic. In most cases they’re opposed. In some cases they’re not only opposed but deeply furious. And yet here if you utter a word of criticism about the war you’ll be shouted down by throngs of alleged American conservatives who allegedly have wanted nothing more than for America to go to war with Iran. It just doesn’t reflect what I see on the ground. That’s not just cope because my position is unpopular with “my side.” I’ve held plenty of unpopular positions. I really don’t care. But in this case the social media vs real world divide is stark and unlike anything I’ve seen before.

@DegenRolf They need to go the Ali: Fear Eats the Soul route and hook up with middle-aged chicks.

Male refugees from Afghanistan and Syria in Germany show a keen interest in forming relationships with local women, but the local women show little interest in forming relationships with them.
Germany, in particular, received over 1,4 million refugees between 2014 and 2016, predominantly from Muslim-majority countries such as Syria and Afghanistan. The majority of these arrivals consisted of young, single men within prime marriageable age brackets. This study examines partnership preferences of male refugees from Afghanistan and Syria who arrived in Germany between 2014 and 2016 and female residents of similar age.
Overall, our results indicate a high level of openness among male refugees towards partnering with female members of the resident population, but a comparatively low level of openness among the latter towards partnering with recently arrived male refugees. This implies a substantial incongruence in partnership preferences among the two groups.
Regarding the educational level of a potential partner, we found that all respondents prefer highly educated partners over those with lower levels of education. This suggests that, for refugees, securing a highly educated partner might serve as a means of upward social mobility and integration into higher-status networks in the host society.
Furthermore, it is possible that highly educated women, due to their greater exposure to diverse social environments and potentially less discriminatory attitudes, are perceived as more open to intergroup partnerships, making them a more attractive choice for refugees seeking acceptance and social integration.
On the other hand, the reluctance of resident women to accept partnerships with refugees is largely explained by their rejection of the ‘imported’ religious Islam. It is possible that resident women perceive the religious practices of newly arrived refugees as different from their own, reinforcing a social distance that limits intergroup partnerships. Moreover, this reluctance might not only reflect religious differences but also concerns about gender norms or perceived lifestyle incompatibilities.

@Charles61592281 @Osinttechnical It was Russia, and we've been providing Ukraine with targeting data for the past four years.

@Osinttechnical Going forward, let us not forget what country...China...almost certainly provided the targeting information needed for this strike.
They are not our friends. They are and always will be adversaries, and they are assisting our enemies.

as someone who lives in montana for two years, this is fucking embarrassing and unbelievably condescending

Last thing I’ll say about this godforsaken memoir, but the new Jezebel interview captures perfectly why Adult Braces is a bad book: it’s a travelogue where West has zero interest in learning things from people she meets. Each encounter is an opportunity to score political points.
