I’m sad to hear that the model S and model X will be discontinued, but it makes complete sense. I ordered my Tesla model S in 2011 and took delivery in early 2013. It was a rare vehicle even in Palo Alto and Mountain View at that time. I gave many test rides to my coworkers, helping me build conviction to accumulate $TSLA from 2013 onwards. I remember one guy in particular who was critical of the Model S, going from saying it was an “expensive golf cart”, to ordering a Tesla after I gave him a test drive. It was wild to see the “oh fuck” realization on people’s faces when the experienced the model S for thr first time. They went from critics to customers faster than I had seen anyone change their minds. The Model S was a spaceship. Up until now, the model S was arguably Tesla’s biggest step change product ever, literally pushing Tesla from zero to one as company. Tesla achieved its first profitable quarter in Q1 2013 from strong Model S sales. Consistent profitability was achieved seven years later in 2020 with the Model 3 and Model Y. Within a decade, very few people will even know that Tesla ever made the model S or X. Within two decades, most people won’t even remember/know that Tesla ever made human operated vehicles. The original roadster was the proof of concept. The model 3/Y were the people’s Teslas. The model S/X were the most iconic flagship Tesla vehicles. They drove critical early adoption and made Tesla a going concern. The Model 3/Y came to the rescue and made Tesla truly profitable. Every step change Tesla product rescues the company while simultaneously launching it to new heights. FSD and Optimus are next.

Last year I lost 2 friends (one was my best friend) to fentanyl because of Biden’s open borders. There has been an absolute tsunami of fentanyl coming into the country under Biden, and it’s being incorporated into many other substances. People don’t know they are ingesting it. When watching the video below, keep in mind that it's likely that only 5-10% of drug shipments are intercepted by border agents. This percentage is probably much lower under the Biden/Harris administration because border agents are so overwhelmed by the influx of illegals that they cannot do their jobs effectively. Hundreds of thousands of Americans have become victims of violence, drugs, and theft as a direct result of the Biden/Harris administration’s open borders policy. Please hold these people accountable and consider the damage that open borders has caused when you vote. I miss my friends dearly.

"Starlink might be the #1 technology over time that improves people's standard of living around the world." - Elon Musk Starlink will enable high speed access for remote villages/towns around the world that otherwise would lack access. This potentially enables education and opportunity to reach literally the entire earth. I think for a portion of the world's population, especially the most poor, Starlink has potentially to radically make a difference. Lots of things to be optimistic about the future. This is one of them.

Yes. Gwynne Shotwell in particular is an extremely underrated business leader who deserves much more credit by the media than she gets. I’ve never heard Gwynne say anything like “I’m the first female executive to …” because she’s too busy outcompeting governments (including the USA and China) in sending rockets into space. She makes people like AOC look like circus clowns in comparison.

@heydave7 True but risk is also important. I hold a little bit of cash even though I hold a lot more stock and mutual funds. I'm a diversification guy so I have a lot of stock, various mutual funds, real estate, crypto, cash, CDs, gold and precious metals, etc.

I ask my kids: Would you rather have cash or stock in a great company? My kids: That's silly. Why would I choose cash when it's losing value? Obviously stock in a great company is better. 😂

@heydave7 I would tell him that I own a few hundred shares (basically a white lie) and tell him that all my assets are going to be donated to charity and the church...in short I would probably just lie.

My 8-year-old keeps asking how much TSLA stock I own. What do I tell him? 😂 I keep trying to change the subject but he keeps asking every few days for the past 6 months! Persistent kid. Now he comes up with specific $ amount and asks if I have more TSLA than that or not.
