@rsandns Brady was a much better Super Bowl QB. Manning was a much better AFC Championship QB.

@ryanmichael One can argue Super Bowl stats, however that would require admitting Montana > Brady, then the goal post moves again

One thing that’s funny to me is how we often act as if a QB isn’t very good if he is projected to be a “backup” in the NFL! This stuff is nuts to me… We are lucky to have 32 really good starting QBs in the league at any one time, being one of the next 32-64 best QBs in the world is incredible! QBs out there, many of us projected as “backups” & were ecstatic to be one, knowing we either had a great job or we were getting an opportunity to prove we could possibly be more! Every job has a #2 or #3 behind them, perfectly ok to at least start as one of those individuals!

This came across my feed & although I wasn’t taught exactly like I teach tech now - a lot of things I talk about a lot: keeping balance/base at top of drop & in pocket, the shuffle “quick game” drop I talked of last week & you can see how quick it can come out & finally having a “pressure plan” & the ability to throw w/o feet!
RAMS ON FILM@RamsOnFilm

The Rams hosted the Oakland Raiders in a 2000 preseason contest. Mike Martz was aggressive in the 1st offensive drive. Kurt Warner and Isaac Bruce attacked star Corner Charles Woodson. #80 would hit pay dirt on a 26 yard TD. @isaacbruceighty @isaacbrucefoundation @kurt13warner

@ryanmichael That stats don’t tell the entire story, the offense waddle was placed in, who his qb and everything else. The narrative you guys will push is that broncos overpaid which simply isn’t true so yeah

That’s not true. Ben shares a lot of my data because I’m a guest of the show, but that doesn’t, by any means, mean he agrees with all of my takes, or framings. I ranked Joe Montana as the 7th greatest QB of all-time in my @KOAColorado article. Ask him how he felt about that one.
Dean Lamb@Lambkneezy

@ryanmichael Can always tell how Ben feels about a trade by the stats he retweets lol

Part of me has to wonder—assuming KC is well aware of Justin Fields’ poor on-field output since entering the league—if this move is a smokescreen to create the illusion of Patrick Mahomes being move vulnerable than he really is. Andy Reid has proven he’s capable of winning with any number of different quarterbacks, but Fields is nothing like and nowhere close to even the 2023-25 decline version of Mahomes.
Adam Schefter@AdamSchefter

Trade: the New York Jets are finalizing a deal that will send QB Justin Fields to the Kansas City Chiefs, pending a physical, per ESPN sources. Other teams were interested, but Fields’ preference was to go to Kansas City.
