🚶 Open sourced my little macOS menu bar app for KingSmith walking pads. It defaults to 2.5km/h (I find this best for desk walking) and my daily goal is 5km. All configurable. Calories are estimated using distance, speed, height, weight, age, gender. I use it every day. My market is myself and I have strong PMF.

@stripesupport Thanks - seems a bit disjointed and inflexible. The no-code reminder is only 7 days, and the webhook you suggested is better, but only 3 days before a trial ends with no option to customise it.

Unfortunately, there’s currently no option to customize the 7-day timing for trial ending reminders in Stripe's built-in email notification system. That said, we have passed on your feedback to our team. If you need more customized timing for your trial notifications, you can implement your own email system by listening for the customer.subscription.trial_will_end webhook event. You can find more details here: #renewal-reminders" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">docs.stripe.com/billing/revenu…

Hey @stripe you let us email customers when a trial is ending, but only 7 days before? Many trials (including ours) are exactly 7 days, which makes this unusable. Any chance we could choose the timing?

I have some big personal news: Detailed has been acquired by Ahrefs. 🎉 I'm also super excited to be joining the company to work on marketing and product. A few months ago Tim Soulo invited me to speak at their upcoming conference in San Diego, Ahrefs Evolve. I brought up an idea I hinted at on the Ahrefs podcast last year, and 24 hours later we were on a call about me potentially joining the company. If you follow me you'll know I'm obsessed with all things strategy and research in this space - and more importantly, doing the work - so to get to do that on a much bigger scale is genuinely a dream of mine. The Detailed SEO Extension and all current features will remain free. In five years it has grown to 450,000+ weekly users, which I'm incredibly grateful for. We'll add new features at some point, while keeping in place what's already there. Detailed will remain a separate brand and I'll continue to personally update relevant projects there. My focus now is on product and tool ideas, research reports, marketing insights and everything actionable we can share to help grow your business. Finally, a HUGE thanks to everyone who has read and shared my work over the years for this to even be a possibility. 🙏 I'm really excited for what's next.

@jamespotter @vercel Didn’t triangle man already give you a long-winded spiel last time about all the work you’d need to do to bring costs down? So not only have you wasted your time, but now need to adjust again just to not be stung? A bit of a joke tbh

Oh cool @vercel is raising my bill again! I can't even figure out by how much because the transition calculator thing is garbage. They'll switch me over in October so I get less than one month. Nice. I pay this company $250/mo already. What a horrible way to treat customers. If I have any questions, they invite me to post in the community forum?!

Wow @vercel this is *terrible* comms. What an interesting way to frame "hi we are increasing your bill by 10x"

Anyone build free mini-tools AND use Framer for their marketing site? How do you host the mini-tools? iframe, subdomain, unique domain, etc?

@NapierHolland Countless hours wasted, whereas if we simply stuck to a custom coded site, it'd be 100x easier and quicker to edit. Somehow coded sites are now easier and more intuitive to make changes to. You can ask cursor to change something in seconds, in Framer, it could take me hours.

@NapierHolland In a way yes. Very shiny. Has the best looking templates. HOWEVER despite framer showcasing them, there is 0 quality control. So many of our issues have been due to the template deve doing the dumbest shit. So part of my framer frustration is also due to that.

@NapierHolland RE the pricing structure, "collections" are used for things like blog posts, and "authors". So if you want an authors collection AND a normal blog collection, that's on the next tier up. I have many gripes with the non CMS aspects too but the CMS functionality is a joke vs WP

@NapierHolland So forget about ever adding any embed. The CMS styling is a complete PITA. The pricing structure is a complete joke, everything is a paid extra including basic staging and drafts (maybe drafts has changed recently. Adding a table was impossible up until very recently. So bad

@sanderfish 1000% so easy to add a human touch and be super responsive in the beginning. It's worked really well for us and no plans to change it any time soon.

Love this and can highly recommend if you're below $5k MRR. Offering live chat has helped us so much to understand and convert customers in the early days.
Nico@nico_jeannen

Livechat apps sucks. Half of the time, it's automated AI bs & the other half is overpriced So I made my own tiny app: Heyo.so, the human-first support chat 👱🏻‍♂️ No bloat, no bs, just an easy way to talk with your users and show you care about them! 🔊 Sound on (Even better if you listen with headphones)
