🇺🇸 HOLLYWOOD CHOSE IDEOLOGY OVER PROFIT - NOW THEY'RE RUNNING TO CAPTIVE AUDIENCES Disney and Paramount just announced they're shifting production budgets away from Hollywood. Not to better Hollywood content - to sports and foreign markets. The 2025 box office numbers look okay until you account for 25% production cost increases and ticket price inflation hiding the real collapse in actual seats sold. Profit margins evaporating while audiences disappear. Here's what killed them: They declared war on customers. Called them "toxic fandom." Made Superman - literally the most American franchise possible - into pro-illegal immigration propaganda. Director James Gunn then attacked fans on social media for noticing. Result? $100 million short of break-even. Disney's "The Acolyte" made Jedi villains, Sith heroes, added lesbian space witches. Creator Leslye Headland (former Harvey Weinstein assistant - irony) still blames "racist fascist" fans for the show bombing so hard Disney immediately canceled it. Even "Stranger Things" lost viewers after injecting unnecessary LGBT messaging into the final season. Media's response? "Audiences are entitled. Studios should stop giving customers what they want." Read that again. They actually published that. The tell isn't the failures - it's where the money's going now. Netflix is pushing "Adolescence" - anti-masculinity programming - into UK classrooms as mandatory curriculum. Government-promoted content for captive audiences who can't opt out. That's the pattern: Hollywood discovered free markets reject propaganda, so they're pivoting to unfree markets where consumption isn't optional. American audiences can walk away. British schoolboys can't. European viewers have limited streaming alternatives. That's the new business model - export woke content to populations with less choice. The 2026 release lineup is anorexic because they spent years making content for an audience that doesn't exist. Can't cancel fast enough to recover. Can't produce fast enough to replace what they're canceling. The Superman failure is the perfect case study. You have to actively try to make Superman flop in America. It's designed to print money. But put immigration propaganda in it, call fans fascists for objecting, and suddenly the most bankable franchise in comics can't break even. They chose being right over being profitable. Turns out you need profit to keep preaching. Now they're scrambling to find audiences who don't have the freedom to turn it off. UK schools, European markets with limited alternatives, anywhere government can mandate consumption. The ideology didn't change. Just the delivery mechanism - from free choice to forced exposure. LBJ is the best in longevity however… Kareem 21 seasons 6 titles 6 MVP’s 2,527 turnovers LeBron 22 seasons 4 titles (6 losses) 4 MVP’s 5,435 turnovers I’m not even sure if LeBron’s got a better resume than Kareem. MJ is in a league of his own.

RJ, who’s been the face of the NBA for the last 20 yrs? Your guy, LeBron. In 2003 the NBA all star game had 10m+ viewers when LBJ got drafted & dropped to 5m in 2024 - that’s 50% drop off during his era. Under MJ it went from 7m in 1984 to 23m in 1993. Why is that?
