Why was heritage placed within DFC? We have seen how weak this department has been in dealing with this kind of irreplaceable environmental damage, & yet Stormont continues to ignore the issue. The historic environment IS PART OF THE ENVIRONMENT, & protected by the EIA regs.

Isn't it interesting/shameful that @AndrewMuirNI's review of environmental governance in NI doesn't appear to consider the Historic Environment? This, despite clear & devastating breaches of the EIA REGS. Why is our historic environment being ignored? #SAVEKNOCKIVEAGH

@saveknockiveagh @deptinfra @abc_council @ShaunaReports I specifically referenced the @saveknockiveagh case and campaign at the Inquiry, and am content to advise that both the Commission and the DfI Representatives noted/acknowledged this - the matter of monitoring and enforcement is one that will undoubtedly re-appear in the process.

@deptinfra @StephenNolan Who benefits? Not the public, at Knock Iveagh it's the off-shore companies who generate millions in ROCS from a flawed renewables scheme. Time to take control & restore some integrity to the system!
