LiteLLM HAS BEEN COMPROMISED, DO NOT UPDATE. We just discovered that LiteLLM pypi release 1.82.8. It has been compromised, it contains litellm_init.pth with base64 encoded instructions to send all the credentials it can find to remote server + self-replicate. link below

@AmericanGwyn I slipped into a steadying loneliness watching this one. One of the best things Netflix has done. The ending strikes a different note but they captured Johnson really well. Absolute loved Macy as Arn Peeples. All you Minnesota fellers wouldn't know what I'm talking about.

@simonw I use direnv to auto-source all of my project environments. I don't use global python for anything. Environment is sourced when I enter the project directory so Claude inherits that environment.

Anyone got a pattern they like for running Claude Code such that when it runs "python -c ..." it's actually running a specific Python from a dedicated virtual environment managed by uv? I've done this with "source venv/bin/activate" before running "claude", more elegant idioms?

Claude's unwillingness to continue conversations after the context window is full is very frustrating. I am okay losing early context if I am working interactively on a project & making progress, I am not okay with suddenly being cut off and being forced to start a new chat.

Literary critic Mikhail Bakhtin was arrested by the Soviet secret police in ‘28 & sent to a labor camp for dissidents. Here, he wrote what many suspect was his greatest book. But Bakhtin was a fend for cigarettes, couldn’t find rolling papers, & gradually smoked the entire ms.

everyone's constantly posting the meme about having a bunch of different agent rule files while the real nightmare continues to be totally ignored: - openai just dropped responses api that breaks every single existing agent architecture - anthropic format was the universal translator (superset of openai completions), now it's obsolete - every provider has different message shapes, tool calling patterns, reasoning hydration - cline has anthropic baked into disk storage, 30+ providers, core interfaces - migration would total architectural hell who gives a fuck about .cursorrules vs agents md when your reasoning traces disappear between api calls and your entire codebase assumes one message format that's no longer the superset? can we please standardize on a future proof llm API standard?
