@brucewayne606 @PaddyKeoghAF Again, I don’t think at any point I argued it was definitely an ad, only that there was enough reasonable belief the QT could be promotional. Keep shifting the goalposts though 🫩

@scxttutd @PaddyKeoghAF I’m guessing Ladbrokes haven’t contacted you and said it is an ad? Not seen anything to confirm it is. How’s the complaint the going? Guessing they haven’t spoken to you yet? Guessing it’s still live, and not classed as an ad? 😎

@Jim_Sonweed @JSpurs___ @JacobCollierMP Really paraphrased what I was trying to say sorry. My reply should have been really: “it’s apples and oranges in terms of easiness for the changes, the government can’t just flick a switch to make changes to private companies in the same way”

@brucewayne606 @PaddyKeoghAF You started at “there is nothing to suggest it’s an advert” and ended at “at a guess, it isn’t.” If you’re guessing, then you’ve already conceded there are grounds for uncertainty. That’s been my point from the start. Hope that helps 😘

@scxttutd @PaddyKeoghAF No confusion on my end, not labeled as an ad because, at a guess, it isn’t. Unless you are referring to the video with Mark, Rory & Jamie, which does seem to be quite heavily branded. Hope that helps 😘

@JSpurs___ @JacobCollierMP 2/2 And even then it doesn’t solve the biggest complaints. Official resale can still happen on ticket platforms, and mandatory ID checks do absolutely nothing to stop dynamic pricing.

@JSpurs___ @JacobCollierMP 1/2 You’ve just proved my point. Stopping resale of government owned driving test slots is a simple policy change. Your suggestion requires legislation, venue compliance, ID verification, transfer rules and enforcement across an entire private industry. That’s not “easy”.

@JSpurs___ @JacobCollierMP Which definitely wouldn’t be as “easy” as saying “Hey you can’t resell governmentally provided driving tests privately”, is it?

@brucewayne606 @PaddyKeoghAF Is it? If I remember correctly my first response was me clearing up some confusion on your part. On the comment that you made engaging with the topic… You’re doing a 4/10 job at bait so far.

@scxttutd @PaddyKeoghAF If it’s in your head, for sure. The bigger issue is why it’s in your head, and letting it get to you. Has the post been deleted yet?

@scxttutd @PaddyKeoghAF I can only deal in matters of fact. Have you reported the post, and raised your concerns about Rory to the authorities?

@JacobCollierMP Consider you’re one of the worst governments to ever exist, you have actually done something pretty good here Now you’ve shown how easy it is, why not also apply this to ticketed events and end touting and more rip off Britain? Just a thought

@scxttutd @PaddyKeoghAF Depends if you think me engaging with a Ladbrokes post is an advert? And if so, who is paying me?

@brucewayne606 @PaddyKeoghAF Replying to a post from Ladbrokes which Rory features in and then Rory replies with odds for both outcomes of an event and tags Ladbrokes in it? You’re seriously saying there is “nothing” at all that suggests this could be an advert?

@scxttutd @PaddyKeoghAF There is nothing to suggest it is an advert, it’s an exchange on their post, initiated by Piers.

@KevinDahmer @notsorrycat The “paperweight” comment was tongue in cheek. Because those devices are only usable for cheats (as they’re currently set up before someone is pedantic) your PC will be stuck in the error cycle till you unplug them rendering them useless. T

If you are genuinely worried about Vanguard blue-screening your PC, the solution is incredibly simple: Stop buying $200 DMA cards to cheat in a video game. Riot isn't being "too intrusive," they're finally making cheating have actual consequences. If you ruin competitive matches, you deserve to have your OS wiped.

@CilvisNova @curebores @Dovah_Spy Basically going to windows “hey you need to do something about this” and windows kicks in with the IOMUU manipulation. Think where I strayed was that it wasn’t technically vanguard controlling this, more so it’s kicking the warning to windows to act on it

@CilvisNova @curebores @Dovah_Spy You know what, I think you’re spot on, that’s a good spot in my mistake. (My backgrounds software) reframing my thinking based off what you’re saying. Vanguard is likely tricking the DMA with encrypted data (probably along with checking for obvious fraudulent firmware) it’s then-
