@bannerthyme there are so many real life stories about long time married couples where one realizes they are gay and the other realizes they are trans at the same time! so many childhood friend groups who seemingly have little in common until they all grow up to be queer

hr getting an hbo release was a mistake. they're talking about a canadian bias like hello it's a canadian show funded by canadian tax dollars and produced by a canadian streaming app of COURSE the cast will mostly be canadian. brain eating bacteria would starve in yalls heads.

@mushabooooms as someone who’s taken screenwriting classes, we were usually discouraged from including details like that. how a certain scene is played is meant to be up to the director & actors. it’s a lot different than fiction writing where you get to control everything

@minrozanov dude i know! i haven’t written anything for hr yet but i have for other fandoms and i’m honestly scared to even try because i am kind of a slow updater and i don’t wanna get jumped on. i wish it was possible to find a smaller niche within fandom without all the entitled freaks :/

@pcyleclercs yeppp and “reclaiming” slurs is about taking away their hateful meaning and replacing it with something positive. if you are saying a slur hatefully it is still a slur even if you can reclaim it. it’s about the intention not just who is saying it.

@bewildered_bi ofc ilya does not say shit like that in canon because the books are fundamentally fluffy romance novels with some light angst. people are allowed to explore a more in depth portrayal of severe mental health struggles in their fic that’s why it’s a FAN FICTION
