Banning X in Canada, Australia and the UK will almost certainly trigger widespread social unrest in the short term and destroy any remaining societal trust in government. It would crush any illusion of “freedom” being some sort of cornerstone of our national identities. China bans Western social media on ideological grounds, and only allows its citizens to use state-approved social apps. This would be the exact same thing. X is too big, too powerful and far too important for a democratic government to ban.
