My friend is in serious trouble right now.
He cheated on his wife during a business trip to Dubai and the guilt is slowly swallowing him whole.
Here’s exactly how it happened.
He was at the hotel bar, unwinding after a long day. A few drinks, some quiet time, nothing unusual. Then he noticed a woman sitting alone nearby. Attractive, mid-30s, nursing a glass of wine.
When her glass got low, he ordered her another. Simple gesture.
She came over to thank him. That thank you turned into a conversation. That conversation turned into two hours of laughing, talking, and losing track of time.
She was Nigerian too, a flight attendant. Also married. Also with kids.
Eventually, he called it a night. Early flight home. He paid the bill, gave her a friendly hug, said goodnight.
And then they stepped into the same elevator.
That’s where everything changed.
One moment led to another and before he could fully process what was happening, she was in his room.
He crossed a line he never thought he would.
She left quietly a few hours later.
Now he’s home. Looking at his wife, a woman he genuinely loves and the guilt is eating him alive. He doesn’t know whether to confess or carry this alone.
He asked me to post this with his permission and he’ll be reading the comments.
@LidlGB@ShaunP12345 It’s all of them ! I’m in Worthing and both stores are gross. I take my shopping bag and put my items in that. No way I’d put food in the baskets raw
Surely I CANNOT be the only person who is disgusted by the bottom of the pull along baskets in @LidlGB. They are always absolutely FILTHY 🤢 My fresh food is going in these baskets are every store’s baskets are always dirty 🤮
@SharePickers Not a chance. You’ll be paying those solar panels for years so you’re not in credit at all. By the time you’ve paid them off you’ll need new ones, and when they go wrong it’s expensive. False economy
Two weeks ago we had solar panels and a battery fitted. We have just completed our first full week with the system.
Our electric bill for the week commencing 10th March 2026 compared to the same week last year has dropped by 71% from £31.71 to £9.05.
We also have not received our DNO cert yet which would allow us to sell back into the grid. On sunny days our battery has been full by 11:30am meaning we don’t yet benefit from the excess free energy being produced.
We are now going to buy an electric car and fill it with free energy.
If only all of the UK could do this, it would go along way to reducing the countries high energy costs.

@LeeHarris Paying £90 a year for green waste really makes my shit itch. Luckily my neighbour offered to go halves to share, so recommend anyone else who can do this also does the same.
Just had my council tax bill through and it's gone up *considerably*.
Also had to pay extra for my green waste, again.
It immediately reminded me of this masterpiece.
@Mr_Husky1 Fuck me. I’ve had some awful things said to me about my mental health but that is utterly inexcusable and disgusting. Some humans really are horrible mf’s
My son, Tom, died by suicide in 2015 at 16 years old. A classmate followed seven months later.
Today, as I was recounting the aftermath to trusted friends, a supressed memory surfaced.
After his classmate died by suicide, someone said to me, "I can understand why Tom died, because he was not very popular, but I can't figure out why (name redacted) did, because everyone loved her.
I am glad I did not remember that statement until I was better equipped to process it. My son was not popular, but he was the kid others came to when they needed someone with which to talk. He was loving, helpful, intelligent, creative, punny, and sensitive. He lived authenticly, even when his anxiety ramped up.
I loved him unconditionally and miss him terribly. 💛

@BlondieBear625@ronsterd89 No, tbh the NHS was terrible & just left me in agony. Ended up in an ambulance to hospital & they didn’t take me seriously. Was given Gabapentin in the end from GP after 3 months which took the edge of once I was on a high dose. I still have pins & needles in my thumb a year on
@dharford79 So many cars in rain / darkness with no rear lights ! Drives me mad ! Hyundai and Kia are the most common I see in my area. Flashing the driver does nothing as they seem oblivious. Daytime running lights are the worse thing invented.
And the amount of people who cannot seem to work out how to use lights on a car properly during foggy mornings is shocking!
Stop relying on DRL!

@JayArghArgh@leahsmithh7 Where does it say to stop when the roundabout is clear ??? Slow down, yes, common sense but not to stop if not necessary. Read your own screen shot you sent me to try and discredit what I said which doesn’t contradict anything I said. Try harder.
The dog appears to have gone off of his Lily’s Kitchen food. Which is great as I ordered 100 cartons and spent £120 on it. Just staring at me like ‘you expect me to eat that shit’ then sitting looking at his bowl. Great.
