I like to believe Trump is bluffing here, in a last ditch effort to get them to negotiate. I say this, because doing so would be an act of lunacy and one of the most depraved acts any president has committed. I'm not a pro-Iran person. I'm not championing the whole Muslim-Christian alliance that was so popular on here. I'm not even someone rambling about how everything is a war crime and about international law. Blowing up the electrical grid of a nation and it's infrastructure while not having been attacked first is something unfathomable.
The civilian death toll after destroying the power grid of a nation and their bridges and infrastructure would be staggering. An act of a mad man.

The "oysters are dirty sewage filters" argument is nonsense
About 95% of oysters you eat are farmed, which is a GOOD THING (not pulled from random ocean water).
All oyster production in the US runs under the National Shellfish Sanitation Program. Waters pass bacterial testing before any harvest is allowed. Fecal coliform is tested and the limit is extremely low and areas get shut down the second they exceed it.
They're tested for algae toxins too. Areas close before harvest even begins if levels get close to the safety limit.
Oysters don't "eat" sewage. They filter phytoplankton and organic particles and actually reject a lot of what they don't want before it's ingested.
Commercial farms are also away from sewage outfalls and industrial pollution on purpose. Contaminated oysters wouldn't pass testing and couldn't be sold.
Yes, there is some risk to people who are immunocompromised, but oysters are one of the most nutrient dense foods on the planet (and are delicious)

Oyster reefs in the Chesapeake Bay once filtered the entire Bay, 19 trillion gallons, in under a week. Today, with less than 1% of the original oyster population remaining, it takes over a year. We ate them. We dredged their reefs. We dumped nitrogen into their water until the algae blooms choked what was left. And now we build billion dollar water treatment plants to do what oysters did for free. The Billion Oyster Project is working to restore oyster reefs in New York Harbor. Restored reefs in Maryland's Harris Creek can now filter the entire creek in under 10 days and remove nitrogen equivalent to 20,000 bags of fertilizer every year. Nature had this figured out. We just have to restore the oysters and get out of the way.
