Malaysia’s “Young Icon” is reported to have suffered a major loss after selling his entire 462 million MMAG shares at 18.9 sen per share, for about RM87.32 million. The transaction raises several questions. First, the sale price was 18.9 sen while the market price was only around 7 sen. Why would a buyer pay almost three times the market price? Second, he reportedly bought the shares on 28 March 2025 at 40 sen per share, even though the market price then was about 70 sen. Why would a seller agree to sell to him at such a steep discount to market? The purchase cost about RM184.8 million. Where did such a large sum come from? Was it funded by borrowing? As a result, the realised loss in just 9 months is close to RM100 million. If the purchase was debt-funded, how is such a loss being absorbed? But no worries. The young business icon is still chairman of three listed companies and remains a major shareholder in several others. He later gave a longer whasap and l take liberty to share it here…🙏 This is the story for this kindhearted young donor whose compassion touched everyone around him. Just one month ago, he spoke to his parents about his wish to become an organ donor. With full understanding and love, they supported his decision. According to his mother, he did not buy any Raya clothes this year — almost as if, deep down, he knew his time in this world would be short. On his phone, he had kept information about the National Kidney Foundation, a quiet reflection of his intention to give life to others. Today, on what is also his mother’s birthday, she holds onto his final wish. Through her grief, she finds strength in honoring what he wanted — to give hope and life to others even after he is gone.🌹 With a mother’s love and courage, she pleaded with us to help fulfill her son’s last wish in this life.🥹 At around 4 a.m. this morning, the “walk of honor” took place. In those solemn moments, he was not alone.
