@craigkerstiens Rarely do I ever want to count without a tenant filter. That's always been my issue with count estimates tbh.

SELECT count(*) is notoriously bad on performance of the database, do approximates work? Postgres keeps stats on your database and already has a rough count.. SELECT reltuples::bigint AS estimated_count FROM pg_class WHERE relname = 'your_table'

Heroku limits env vars in 32kb and we already have exceeded that limit, so, moving out of encrypted credentials is not an option.

I need to share those credentials with another framework but I can't use environment variables since the encrypted values there are quite big (quite a few private certificates).

Assuming that I have both config/credentials/#{env}.yml.enc and config/credentials/#{env}.key, what is the easiest way of reading it without Rails? Looking for something in plain Bash, for instance, or a Go that I would be able to compile and distribute the binary.

@nateberkopec Query cache might be retaining the objects in memory. You can try ActiveRecord::Base.uncached { everything here }

This code "leaks" memory - not really, but it causes memory growth over time if `bag_of_words` is large enough. I see this anti-pattern in Sidekiq jobs. Think: why does this lead to increasing memory every time we go through the loop, and how could you rewrite this to avoid it?
