I’ve seen a few people promote a theory that if X brings in new communities (e.g., women, vloggers) that it will somehow damage their community’s experience. This is categorically false: the Timeline algorithm serves tons of niches that you never see. Growth of new audiences will not pollute your Timeline (and if it does, that is a failure of the algorithm and we will fix it). X is for everyone and the product only gets more resilient and more relevant when more people are on here.

lool I asked gemini deep think to crunch the numbers on expanding canada's prison population to a level where we actually could afford to be hard on crime and it predicted that it would take anywhere from 36 to 90 years to complete the project of expanding our capacity to 200k cells

Phosphoros is the original Greek precursor to "Lucifer." Lucifer translates to light-bringer (from the Vulgate). his role was bringing knowledge to humanity. Prometheus role was bringing fire to humanity. fire in this context refers to knowledge, thus: lucifer -> light -> knowledge prometheus -> fire -> knowledge parallel expressions of the same archetype. given the etymological link to phosphorus, one must wonder if the element phosphorus is an extension of this myth and, in-fact.. it behaves as one, observe: the most reactive form of phosphorus = white phosphorus. the least reactive form of phosphorus = black phosphorus. it doesn't take a genius to notice that white and black are also moral categories. anyway, if you keep following this thread you eventually arrive at a single incontrovertible conclusion:

@tszzl lol I often wonder if openai hadn't pulled that move, would anyone have even noticed the GPT models I was working on GANs at the time. if I didn't read headlines about a model "too dangerous to release" I probably wouldn't have heard about it until it launched in ChatGPT lol

lol me: list nations that openly hate canada chatgpt: there really aren't any that specifically hate canada outside of the generic "unfriendly nations" like russia, china, iran, north korea, etc me: are you factoring for geopolitical landscape changes in 2025/26? chatgpt: no. *thinks for 5 minutes* chatgpt: wait... why is it the U.S? and why is.. china off the list?

Canada has been a blast so far 👍 I don’t really understand why the country gets so much hate 🤔 After actually coming here and seeing Montreal, Toronto and Niagara Falls it’s a beautiful place with friendly helpful people, great food and lots of amazing views 🌁

yeah but look at the run cost mythos is just a big model, I've heard nothing about it using con16/32/64 or any of the usual tricks that deep think, grok superheavy or gpt-pro use. layer all that extra shit on top, combine with the notion that openai is basically running out of money, and this theoretical spud pro and you've got a model that they'll be metering at like $300 per million tokens

Honestly this chart makes me more bullish on GPT 5.4 Pro than anything else. People are focusing on Mythos looking strong, but what stands out to me is how well 5.4 Pro already stacks up on the overlap we actually have. GPQA is basically a tie at 94.4 vs 94.5. BrowseComp is a win for GPT 5.4 Pro at 89.3 vs 86.9. Yes, Mythos is ahead on Humanity’s Last Exam, 56.8 vs 42.7 without tools and 64.7 vs 58.7 with tools, but the bigger point is that 5.4 Pro is already this competitive right now. So if GPT 5.4 Pro is already THIS COMPETITIVE here, then Spud Pro, the next OpenAI flagship, is guaranteed to beat Mythos. This chart makes OpenAI look extremely close before its next real jump, and once that next jump lands I do not think Mythos stays ahead.

didnt really "lose popularity" after starship, it averaged ~5k players perpetually from like 2012-2023. it only really died once KSP 2 came out and then was promptly abandoned, with the company responsible for the first game no longer being a game dev lol cool to see people going back to it

@luke_leisher_ @INiallAnderson I did not expect this. KSP was popular half a decade ago during Starship unveiling, but lost popularity after that. This resurgence is likely from Artemis II?

@Angaisb_ @thsottiaux they're in for a lawsuit if that's the case, with how this is advertised as 5x vs 20x in the UI, and mentions nothing about a promo 2x 20x is 40x. that's the only way out of this without ending up in court.

@thsottiaux So the $100 Pro plan is 5x and the $200 Pro plan is 10x? Not taking the usage boost into account

Hi! Getting a lot of questions on Pro plan rate limits, so I wanted to clarify a few things: - Your Pro $100 plan includes at least 10x Plus usage, till May 31 with the 2X usage boost. - Your Pro $200 plan includes at least 20x Plus usage, till May 31 with the 2X usage boost. This is also the SAME usage this plan had since the 2x promo in February; we previously didn't document this explicitly. Now to address the confusion. Our pricing page says "5x or 20x usage", and many of you very understandably took it to mean "10x and 40x" given then 2X usage boost. That's our fault. We mixed up two things in a confusing way on that page - (1) sharing that the Pro $100 launched with a 2x boost, making it 10x Plus till May 31 and (2) sharing that Pro $200 retained its 2x boost and sharing for the first time that this equates to 20x Plus. We're going to update our pricing pages to make this clearer. Sorry it wasn't as clear as it should have in the first place.🫥

There seems to be some confusion on what ChatGPT plans give you, and what bonuses are active right now. I got you. ChatGPT Plus $20 = 1x NO ACTIVE BONUS ChatGPT Pro Lite $100 = 5x with a 2x Bonus (10x) ChatGPT Pro $200 = 20x with a 2x Bonus (40x) The bonus is ONLY for Pro plans. It includes BOTH $100 & $200 Tiers They both end May 31st. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER. SIGNED AMW

@thsottiaux except you lost the ability to do that the moment you advertised it as 5x and 20x in the UI 2x for 20x is 40x. if 20x is actually 10x after the promo, you're in for a lawsuit
