I will probably be raising my prices in May. I'm considering a Ko-Fi membership tier to for members to keep prices the same for their projects. I'm not sure what people would be willing to pay, though, or if they would be willing at all.

@sonofsonnet As someone who also undercharges for a business (I have a videography business for real estate) I know it can be frustrating. Since you’re considering it, how much would the increase be? I think it’s fair to raise it some given you work hard and deliver good work quickly.

@NotMrG_ It would be nice if there was one thing I could include in a production that I know would guarantee a sale.

@sonofsonnet Yeah it seems like a tough business to run. Even in my business figuring out what to charge is tough. At least for us there are time estimations and material costs to act as rails to keep you pointed in the right direction. Good luck!

It’s not your expression, it’s a machine given words that it uses to create a consensus of how other people have expressed it. Expression is your voice, not the voices of others serrated and dragged through a machine made to mimic your mouth. You express nothing, you forfeit your voice to allow the rest of humanity to speak for you. Here, you even say the ultimate goal is the erasure of human voices. Your “expression” leads to a lack of humanity, not a furtherance of it. Every iteration and invention of art has found new ways to allow us to culminate the human experience through sensation, but generative AI is cancer, it’s the cells of what we’ve already built spinning ad nauseam until all we “make” is what others have already made. It’s a dead end and lifeless, and goes against whatever spirit, soul, or God gave us the gift of creation in the first place.

@sonofsonnet I don’t think it limits itself to DLC like Drakengard 3 is a prequel to Drakengard and it’s a full game by itself. I just think that the opinion of “prequels are useless” since a game started in point B and moved forward I see no issue why A should exist and still be meaningful.

There is this close friend who I talked about Xenoblade 2 Torna and they said, why would I play a prequel game, if Xenoblade 2 story is what matters. I got a little bothered by the comment, hehe. It’s like saying why should I read The Hobbit if LoTR exists? I couldn’t with this.

I didn’t realize this until later, but yesterday I brought home a half-empty bottle of water thinking it was mine, only to realize from the convenience store sticker that it wasn’t mine after all. It’s probably Lia’s half-empty bottle. How should I preserve this?

Story idea: sci fi story following exclusively alien species. Apocalypse is upon them when suddenly "the gods", humans, descend from the sky to save their creations. Like The Last Human but happy.

The Throngler by Son of Sonnet A bunch of kittens in a batch, no mother there for them to latch. The biggest one, with surest feet, she wandered for some food to eat. A chicken swooped with beak and claw, resisted by the kitten's paw. A cry for mother, for a friend, would save the litter from the end. Commotion drew a passerby, who found a shelter in supply. A foster mother, black of hair, astounded by the kittens there. She saw the hero, colored white, with eager claw and eager bite, and said: "For you I do proclaim, that you deserve a worthy name: And thus, "The Throngler" will you be, a hero born for all to see. Your scratches are Throngles, your bites are Thronglings, and ye shall delight in kittenhood upon your bed. Now, Throngler, rest your weary head."

All the kittens are healthy but still look like mice
