@jessiegender These character arcs were vital to the entire show which was created during the height of the Cold War (Chekov) and on the heals of the Civil Rights movement (Uhura). Not to mention depict healing from WWII by casting a Japanese character.

@jessiegender No it was never woke. It was first and foremost Starfleet was a meritocracy. It was never a box checking exercise. Cisco, for example, not even written for a black actor. They just picked the best actor that auditioned. Hence it was actually good.

In any other era, if you were out of ammo or cornered, there was a slim chance of surrender or a "fair" end. But you can't surrender to a kamikaze drone. It doesn't have a heart, it doesn't take prisoners, and it doesn't understand mercy.

U.S. Central Command is aware of the loss of a U.S. KC-135 refueling aircraft. The incident occurred in friendly airspace during Operation Epic Fury, and rescue efforts are ongoing. Two aircraft were involved in the incident. One of the aircraft went down in western Iraq, and the second landed safely.
This was not due to hostile fire or friendly fire.
