No, these aren't Ukraine's naval attack drones. This is a Ukraine-style assault by US forces "using multiple one-way attack surface drones" that CENTCOM says "struck a submarine and ship maintenance facility in Iran." "Three Corsair unmanned surface vessels hit the port at Bandar Abbas Naval Base, marking the first time American forces have employed sea drones in combat operations."
U.S. Central Command@CENTCOM

Yesterday, using multiple one-way attack surface drones, CENTCOM forces successfully struck a submarine and ship maintenance facility in Iran. Three Corsair unmanned surface vessels hit the port at Bandar Abbas Naval Base, marking the first time American forces have employed sea drones in combat operations. Last night’s strikes degraded Iran’s ability to continue attacking commercial shipping.

There are countless stories like the one below of bravery and ingenuity and spontaneity and sheer luck in the Ukrainian national defense at the very beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion that would make all the difference. Good interview of @Jack_Watling below, by @LawDavF, worth reading. I also wrote about several such scenarios in my book The War Came To Us.
Shashank Joshi@shashj

.@Jack_Watling on just how close run it was in 2022. "Whether the Russians made it through Mykolaiv and into Odesa came down to whether a Russian brigade was prepared to attack across a causeway, and they were en route to do it." samf.substack.com/p/the-kremlin-…

There could be some other shuffling within the cabinet. Some ministers will be reappointed to positions they currently hold. It won't be an overhaul with many new faces. Zelenskyy's goal is yet again to reboot and refocus his team, with the emphasis on defense needs, partnerships and preparation for winter, believing that Vladimir Putin plans to continue his war.

One move that is sure to be controversial and rile up Ukrainians, some MPs and western partners is the possible removal of Mykhailo Fedorov, the defense minister, replacing him with current interior minister Ihor Klymenko. Watch this space.

Strongly disagree. One of Ze’s biggest problems has been the lack of depth on his bench. This began from The start when he didn’t have enough people to fill out his party list. It’s few more challenging with each government dismissal. They have been shuffles and reshuffles rather than full overhauls largely because nobody new wants to enter government at this point.

A somewhat obscure observation - Isn't it amazing how deep is the Ukraine's bench? The discussion is about several very impressive candidates, young and experienced at the same time. President @ZelenskyyUa's choice is difficult because there are many great options.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський@ZelenskyyUa

Ukraine is changing its political strategy. Each priority area of foreign policy will be assigned to a specific person with substantial experience who is capable of implementing what we agree on at the leaders’ level and what the Ukrainian people expect. The most important of these areas include the United States and our agreements on licenses to manufacture Patriot systems, as well as other bilateral security cooperation, which must translate into clear gains for our countries and for Ukrainian and American companies; the European antiballistic project, which could become one of the most significant steps to strengthen Europe this decade; the European Union, where we need clear progress toward Ukraine’s membership and deeper ties in every area – economic, political, and cultural; Ukraine’s neighboring countries, relations with which require a new foundation, especially Poland and Hungary; the Middle East and Gulf region as one of the most promising global areas for security and economic cooperation; China; and key international organizations that influence global decisions and can do more to help end Russia’s war against Ukraine. The same applies to our domestic work. There are new challenges and new tasks. All work in Ukraine’s frontline and border regions, which come under Russian attack every day, must be significantly strengthened. I expect increased supplies of the weapons our army needs, including all types of drones. Preparing for winter is an extremely important priority, and Ukraine must be ready for every threat that may arise. The transformation of state-owned companies, on which Ukraine’s resilience significantly depends, must be accelerated. Ukraine’s agreements with its partners on recovery also require separate and focused attention. Accordingly, personnel changes will begin in Ukraine to ensure the implementation of the updated political strategy. We discussed the details with Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko. We determined that these changes require a renewal of the Cabinet of Ministers. I am grateful to Yuliia for her clear, steady, and effective work as Prime Minister, for her years of productive service on Ukraine’s team, and I have offered her the opportunity to lead a new and important area of relations with a key partner. I expect that, together with MPs, we will make the corresponding changes in the Government of Ukraine. There will also be changes among the heads of law enforcement agencies. Thank you to everyone who helps! Thank you to everyone who defends Ukraine’s national interests. Glory to Ukraine!

Ukraine’s ambassador to the US Olha Stefanishyna held talks with Zelenskyy in recent days and told him she was ready to step down from her post in Washington, according to several people familiar with the administration’s plans. Those people said the president was pleased with her work and supported her decision, which was made for personal reasons. As previously reported below, she faces a criminal investigation being conducted by the National Anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine; she has denied the accusations. More in the @FT story below.

NEW: Zelenskyy's big cabinet and diplomatic overhaul is taking shape, according to president's team and others involved I've spoken with: -PM Yulia Svyrydenko goes to Washington as ambo; Olha Stefanishyna is dismissed -New PM candidates include Naftogaz's Koretskyi (top candidate as of now); energy min and former PM Shmyhal; def min Fedorov. A wild card candidate or two, as well, including Kharkiv mayor Terekhov. There will be a political faction meeting Tuesday and we should know more about the final decisions after that.
