How do you offer a lesson in elders quorum / relief society without coming across as preachy? What works for you? Whenever I give a lesson (which has been only twice before) I always feel like the group is annoyed and disconnected. What strategies work for you to have an engaged meeting that bears fruit from the discussion?

i've read the book of mormon 50+ times it's filled with errors, anachronisms, plagiarism, and "translation" errors at best, it's a fantasy book not backed by even one shred of physical evidence it has been repeatedly revised and altered by the lds church hope that helps!

If you took someone who had no foreknowledge of the concept of the Trinity and had them read the Bible cover to cover, there's no way they would come out thinking that the Son and the Father are the same being.

If you had someone with zero knowledge of the Bible and had them read it cover to cover, nowhere would they get the idea that they needed to be "anointed" by someone putting oil on their naked bodies, nor given secret handshakes to get into heaven, nor that they themselves could potentially become gods.

@Dating_Dynamics Great list but this is wrong. She must be taught how to self assess/take advice. This is part of having emotional frame. Sure, listen. But you don’t call a plumber and then expect him to not fix the problem. Use your divine problem solving skills to lead but do it gently.

3. The Substitution of Listening with Fixing. When she brings him a frustration, he treats it like a problem to be solved. He offers solutions. He provides answers. He tries to make the feeling go away. He thinks he's helping. She experiences it differently. She experiences it as dismissal. As discomfort with her emotions. As a man who cannot simply sit with her in her experience without needing to change it. She doesn't always want solutions. Sometimes she just wants to be heard. When he can't offer that, she stops bringing him her inner world. The distance grows silently.
