MP & farmer, Mark Spencer, was Liz Truss's parliamentary private secretary when Truss relaxed the badger cull licensing rules, which led to the rapid extension of the culls & >175,000 dead #badgers. Poor choice by @RishiSunak. The badger culls are widely & strenuously opposed.

The farming press has been very negative about vaccination, pushing a hard line which emphasises the benefits of culling while minimising the downsides, saying nothing about vaccination (or dismissing it)

It appears South Durham hunt chased a deer, which has been severely injured by a car, which drove off, shattered leg, head injury and police firearms had to attend, free from pain now but suffered immensely 😢

We took a break from the beagle packs & joined dozens of other sabs on the Avon Vale Hunt in Wiltshire, in solidarity with local sabs following recent hunt violence. Wiltshire Police were out in force, but their attention was on us rather than the illegal hunters & violent AVH…

South Durham hunt have just chased three deer onto the road,sadly one has been hit by a car and is in a bad way. We have contacted the police and will wait with the deer until they arrive.
