Talking with a WordPress colleague yesterday. He was amazed that I had never needed to create a custom post type or a custom field in any WordPress website I have built. Honestly never needed them. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Anyone else? Am I just weird? 🤣

@staudt_dev Query Monitor says every plugin is loading too slow ;o) - but when I deactivated them on the weekend nothing changed lol Must be a server issue - but on only one of many websites? Very strange. Anyway. Thanks for getting back to me with the tip!

WordPress Test 4 U: slow website. 30 second load. new problem. started 2 weeks ago. disabled all plugins, ran with simple WP theme, ticked off every box - database, https, htaccess, external links, minimised, cached, zipped - everything I could think of. Same slow speed. Sever problem? Other sites on same server running fine. warrenlainenaida.de

@bengthedev wtf? really? was it always running in the background? were you using the widget? also, why aren't we friends on duolingo?

Just realised that the Duolingo app was slowing down my whole mobile phone. While I think it can support learning a language when ignoring the slot machine features, the app seems to be crap. Now I use the pwa and it's way faster. But you seem to get penalized with less points.

If your keyboard users can't see where they are on the page... then you probably broke it with one line of CSS. The culprit is "outline: none" on focused elements. It removes the focus completely. Mouse users won't have any problems, but anyone using tab to navigate will.
